What a fantastic day we have had today. First cookery course in 60 years and enjoyed every second. The time flew by it was filled with lots of great recipes and time saving tips producing fab food. Great atmosphere, well organised everything you could wish for. Highly recommend and I’ll be back with friends.

Outstanding, had 5 bikes seen to in the past month, some serviced, some rebuilt. They have been class from top to bottom. Hadn’t risen one bike for 25 yrs and it’s now like a brand new bike, i always thought I could do odd jobs on the bike, it turns out I shouldn’t have even bothered. Great service, great everything, really fair prices. Won’t bother doing any odd jobs again, thanks very much

The Market Co deliver the original Artisan Market to towns across the region. Always a magnificent spectacle, an opportunity to browse over 120+ stalls, taste the culinary treats, talk to artists, vintage dealers and designer-makers, or sample the hot authentic street food whilst being entertained by local musicians.
Picked up some friends from the station and what a great start to the day, an artisan market. I enjoy the Treacle Market in Macclesfield but I have to admit, as you'd probably expect, that the set up here has a more refined appeal. It's just one long row in front of the shops on Alderley Road, you go down one side and back down the other, no bobbing and weaving through the masses. Some of the vendors I visit at the Treacle Market are here; Vanillis and the guy who sells home made fudge, great stuff. There's a high proportion of craft sellers too and I was particularly taken with Tubeart, a Christmas purchase is on the cards.

If you love history this is for you! A very interesting day hearing about the mill along with the other properties on the estate with all the history. The gardens are beautiful to walk around we came in December so was very rainy will revisit in the summer to take full advantage of the gardens.

Lovely Art Deco cinema which makes seeing a film much more enjoyable than a multiplex experience. Our deluxe seats were fab and I loved being able to enjoy a glass of wine during the screening. A few people knocked theirs over when returning from the loos though, so perhaps the side tables need higher sides on them?

As the Cheshire Smokehouse cafe closed due to Covid we were looking for somewhere of the same standard. As the Smoke is connected we gave it a try and were not disappointed. Excellent breakfast and particularly good that you can build your own so you can tell the waitress what you do want as opposed to what you don't. The cafe is on 3 floors and the waitresses were excellent, could only admire their energy in negotiating two lots of stairs, no need for a gym membership for them. Highly recommend.
