About 20 minutes outside of East Lansing, this theatre company is in its 11th year. The productions are always high quality; good productions; very good to excellent actors. Very glad to have this in the area. I have been to over 25 performances in the...MoreThank you for being a part of the Williamston Theatre family!

Don't judge a book by its cover...even though it looks like your pulling up to the neighbour's, don't let that stop you. This winery is great!!! The tasting was only 5 for $5, and everything I tried was really good. I walked out of there with 4 bottles and feeling very satisfied with my decision to swing in.

MSU's huge country-like campus offers a lovely setting for running, biking or just hanging out, and also has places to visit, like the Beal Botanical Gardens, Sanford Natural Area, the 70,000-capacity Spartan football stadium, an art center, planetarium and, of course, the MSU Dairy Store for ice cream.
Anytime I have friends and loved ones from out of state, they want to see the updates at Michigan State University. The campus is designed with the walking student to classes in mind. Don't forget to tour the farms attached too. Even check out the Student Union is a must.

Meridian Historical Village is a well put together collection of the way life was during the early years of Meridian. The docents are quite knowledgeable. Visit on a Saturday during the summer months between 9 and 2 while the fabulous Meridian Farmer's Market is happening. The Farmer's Market has expanded right up to the village entrance.

Glass blowing on the premises. They are planning for classes to start at the beginning of 2017. They have the most beautiful blown glass vases, balls, paper weights, and Christmas ornaments. What a unique gift for others and maybe even one for yourself. Choosing is the hardest part. The designs and colors are plentiful, plus you can talk to the super friendly folks that work there. Worth the visit.

Stopped at the Harris Nature Center for the first time. Walked one of the blacktopped trails. The woods are beautiful and many of the trees have information posted about them. Plan to go back and spend more time walking and visiting the building and exhibits.

Visited here with a friend and her 4-year old son. It was "Texas" days. Actives were horse rides, train ride, wagon ridge, peddle tractor ride, and lots of animals. They have baby rabbits, pigs, chickens, as well as full grown horses, pigs, and wild animals like prairie dogs, skunks, badger, etc. They had a nice play unit with rope climb, rock climb and slide. Another was a inflated bounce house. A wonderful place for kids to enjoy and play as well as learn.

This location may be best known for its summertime music fests. Friday evenings feature bands from local (within 40-50 miles) with music varying from big band, rock, blues, patriotic, bluegrass, and Irish step dancing. Local restsurants are a great place to start the evening, and ice cream places nearby are excellent places to complete it.
The park is very well setup for kids too. Inflatable slides, a playground, and bigwheel trikes serve them well. Popcorn and hotdogs are available too.
All in all, it is a pleasant place. Very Midwest, small town, Americana.

Play a round of golf or two on this scenic and verdant 18-hold championship golf course located at the popular Brookshire resort.
Hidden in the corner of downtown Williamston is a wonderful golf course, with an excellent restaurant. The venue is lovely, especially during the warmer months when one can sit outside and enjoy the beauty of the golf course as well as a good beer and excellent bar food. The service is typically good and the specials are varied from day to day. Overall a fun place to visit at reasonable prices.

Meridian Mall is located in Okemos, MI, on the east side of Lansing. Shop stores such as JCPenney, Macy's, Old Navy, Victoria's Secret or Younkers; grab a bite at the food court: or catch a movie.
This is a nice place for shopping. All the favotite stores are there. Imenjoymwalking round during rainy days. But it does not have a Starbucks outlet
