Gilded Matilda's is a one of a kind store that features local artist and artwork, home and garden decor, jewelry and accesories, gourmet gifts, Dixie Belle chalk paint and more! Our talented artists offer classes year round. We are located in downtown Wildwood, Florida just steps from an award winning eatery and other fine shops.
We took a drive to explore some of the thrift and specialty shops around the smaller communities in Florida. Gilded Matilda's is so much fun! The owner Sandy Sweeny is as sweet as she can be and full of energy. The shop is filled with amazing creations by local and area artists so the inventory is constantly evolving. There are so many things to see. She also holds classes on everything from painting to glass fusion to mosaics and more. Give yourself time to explore the entire shop. The little sheep (made out of a gourd) winked at me from a distance as soon as I entered the shop. So of course he had to come home with me. Makes me smile every time I see him.

Wildwood Antique Mall has 20,000 square feet of antiques, collectibles, and vintage items, with over 120 unique antique dealer partners.
If your looking for beautiful things and a great price this place is it. Just moved in the area and this place was recommended to visit. I was very happy with the quality of items for sale. If you are in the Wildwood area I would highly recommend you stop by, but bring your walking shoes cause there are lots of items to look at.

I walk my dog here often. The county has done a wonderful job with trails clearly marked and measured as well as a series of exercise stations. And for dog walkers, the have station with bags and disposal. The interior is still the old Florida with natural plants and ecosystem. The recent pond restoration and viewing stand is very well done. There are modern restrooms and nice picnic areas. Thanks Sumter County!

Beautiful preserve with 18 miles of multi-use trails. Trailhead has parking, restrooms, picnic area, and primitive camping. Non-potable water available so bring drinking water. Tons of wildlife in the area and beautiful topography. Hiked with my dog for 4 hours and never saw another human. Perfect! Did see deer, wild turkey, hawk, and even a bald eagle. Trails are well maintained and nicely blazed. If you're looking for a place to escape for a couple hours.. This is it. Highly recommended!

It was an enjoyable evening, The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. It was nicely decorated with artifacts from that era. Of real interest was the opportunity to speak to one of the original family members that was born there,

We joined 2 couples for the Friday Nite Fish fry. I had the blackened all you can eat tilapia. I got 2 nice filets which was plenty. It was seasoned just right. My wife had the haddock which was also very good. The serving was big enough to bring the leftovers home for a fish sandwich today. We will definitely be back. We had a 5:00 reservation which worked great.

We stopped here with my cousin and my wife. Neither drink... or at least not much. My cousin had a wine, which she said was good (to be honest she wouldn't know). I had a couple of beers and a cider. They were all very good. There was music starting, but we left before it started.... it seemed like it would have been fun. I'd go back again!
