Yawana Dive and Bungalows is on the south west coast of Vella Lavella Island just one hour from Gizo by boat. Owned and operated by Andrickson (Andie) a local Vella Lavella lady and her Australian husband Andrew. Traditional ‘leaf house’ style bungalows at the water’s edge looking towards Ranongga Island, surrounded by gardens of coconuts, bananas, fruit and vegetables. Comfortable, clean, cool and no-fuss. Shared toilet and bathroom. Maximum of four guests. Andie does all the cooking, with an emphasis on fresh seafood and fruit and vegetables grown in the garden. Yawana Bungalows are mostly powered by 12v solar, and we run a generator for a few hours in the evening. Andrew runs a small boutique safari style dive operation taking guests to the nearby pristine reefs around Vella and Ranongga. Andrickson and Andrew have created Yawana Dive and Bungalows in a beautiful and remote part of the Solomons where visitors get to experience the real Melanesian life among the islands.

If you want to see how paradise looks then visit Saeraghi village its far from Gizo capital I heard few tourist and locals have walk from the village to the capital. I dont have clue of how much the cost of public transport, tuck & taxi but I manage to secure a car from a friend for $300 I took my family over and they too have enjoyed the view and beaches. the roads are not tar and can be bumpy. When ever you visit Gizo and thinking of touring the islands why not try out Saeraghi village. Apart from that there are few great spot for surfing, and kids form surrouning communities Titiana and Bailonge often held competition, they can also show you round.
