Photographs, recordings and an award-winning documentary chronicle the construction of the 76-foot, hand-built Viking ship Hjemkomst, and its incredible 6,000-mile voyage across the Atlantic in 1982.

Stopped by while in Fargo to look at the Viking ship and read it's story. The ship sits in the center of the Center and is surrounded by many displays with information and history. The Center also has a pretty neat gift shop. Definitely worth an hour or two of your time.

Be prepared to get your minds thinking...in & outside of the box. Things do not always appear as they seem. We needed to request 'hints' along the way which cost us precious minutes but it was worth it. The maximum time allowed is 60 minutes but the time flies. We did not win, we got close, but had an awful lot of fun trying. Would be a great team building event for a small work group. One room had a maximum of 6 and another one for 8.

I attended a Redhawks game here in August - the ushers, security, and vendors were very helpful and friendly. The field is beautiful. There are plenty of bathroom facilities for the crowd which was 75% full or so. Plenty of parking close by. What I really enjoyed more than anything though, was that they didn't pipe in music and the sideshow entertainment and eardrum-breaking volumes - you could hear what was going on if you want to, you could ignore it and talk at a normal volume if you want to. Superfan is hilarious! But seriously dude, you get into this a little too much...

I've driven past this place three years now, as my daughter attends NDSU. I've wanted to stop in, try new brew. I wasn't impressed. I was impressed with the young guy making popcorn who called me "hun" though. I would have liked to sample more of your beers. O'well.

I really enjoy the openness of the Mall with the many areas to kick back and relax. The decor is excellent with some terrific features, be it nice big comfy chairs, water fountains, and a good selection of stores. A great little 'treat' is the Roger Maris museum which is fun to spend some time and get some baseball history.

Fargo Air Museum

Located just off I-29 interstate, The Fargo Air Museum is an easily accessed pet friendly, must-stop location. North Dakota's premiere aviation destination, the Fargo Air Museum's dual hangars are home to aircraft of all eras - from a modern unmanned reconnaissance drone to the "most accurate recreation of a Wright Brothers' flyer the Smithsonian Institute has ever seen." A "flying" museum, many of the airplanes occasionally take to the sky, a unique feature not found in the vast majority of the nation's static-display air museums. More than just a simple place to display its many aircraft, military memorabilia and exhibits, the Fargo Air Museum also houses one of the midwest's largest Aviation libraries. In addition, the museum hosts educational day-camps, speakers and seminars for flight fans of all ages to enjoy. The Fargo Air Museum is a fantastic choice for a unique venue for corporate & private events and has quickly become a local favorite for hosting wedding ceremonies and receptions. Please email for event rental information. Located across the street from the Fargodome, the museum is also surrounded with dining opportunities and is conveniently just moments away from the Fargo's Hector International Airport.

This was a really nice aviation museum across from the Fargo Dome featuring a variety of old restored planes. They have two hangers filled with planes and helicopters. It is a very beautiful facility and you almost forget you are in a hanger. The best plane was the DC-3. The Dc-3 was really the first commercial passenger aircraft in the U.S. We were very appreciative that the museum personnel opened the hatch and let us explore the inside of the DC-3. What a treat. Thank you for a great experience..

Red River Valley Fairgrounds

Reviewed By Bill Z - Winnipeg, Canada

Red River Valley Fair in West Fargo is both an agricultural fair as well as a typical midway show. I was amazed at the slightly dented and banged up rides as much as seeing an honest-to-goodness sideshow. At the same time everyone in our family had a good time and took in the baking contest, petting zoo and dog show. The magic acts were also a hoot.

It isn't the best venue for music, but you can't be the atmosphere at the NDSU football games. It's also a good space for start/end of the marathon.
