Yes, the cows are down the hill from the creamery that makes fresh ice cream in incredible flavors. Situated on top of Mount Peter, the views are phenomenal no matter what time of year you go. Make plans to go - opens April 1!

In a day and age where going to the movies is becoming a more expensive and luxurious experience, this enduring and rare piece of old school Americana brings the simplicity and nostalgia back to the movie industry. The staff is very organized, making both the purchasing of tickets and the process of parking quick and seamless. I'd recommend getting there about an hour early to ensure plenty of time to get a good spot, hit the snack bar and use the restrooms if needed. My wife and I were situated in the first row (which isn't a travesty at a drive-in theater!) and watched from the front seats of our car while tuned in through the car radio. If you're planning on seeing the double feature, the price of tickets absolutely can't be beaten. We actually ended up spending more money on food than we did on the tickets and we were lucky enough to see two excellent movies. All in all we spent maybe 5 or 6 hours at the theater. Though I'm too young to have been around for the height of the drive-in movie business, I have to imagine that this would be a like trip back in time for people of a certain age. It fulfilled my every expectation and I'm looking forward to going back again soon.

Pennings Farm operates on 100 acres of pristine farmland in the historic Hudson Valley town of Warwick, NY. For more than 30 years, Pennings Farm Market has been a steadfast retailer of locally grown produce under the attentive ownership of Steve and Jill Pennings. In offering our own produce (apples, apricots, eggplant, nectarines, peaches, peppers, pumpkins, squash, sweet corn, tomatoes and zucchini) or produce from neighboring farms, we aspire to be local in what we do and what we sell. Visits to Pennings Farm Market are more of an entertaining country and local experience than just a shopping trip, offering a farm-to-table style Cafe, Pub, Beer Garden, Ice Cream Stand and Garden Center. Make sure to visit the NEW Pennings Hard Cidery tap room and production facility located on the hillside directly behind the farm market.
Pumpkin picking, apple picking or just a night out for music in the summer outside in the beer garden...petting zoo for kids and an awesome country store with pies, jams, jellies and a wonderful nursery also... love this place!

There is something to pick each month of growing season. Friendly and helpful staff. Not too over crowded. Local’s best kept secret.

Scenic recreation area, nicknamed The Friendly One, is one of the oldest ski areas in New York State.
This is probably closest to New York City great snow tubing place. Rates are reasonable. On a very balmy day (about 60F) there was plenty of snow and all had fun. The number of working restrooms could be improved. But otherwise, facilities are very good.
