Museum with interactive exhibits on the trenches of WWI, the beaches of WWII and the rice paddies of Vietnam.
This museum is located on the grounds of Cantigny Park the summer home of Robert McCormick who served with the First Division in WW I.
Outside the museum are several tanks from WW I to present.
A self guided tour takes you from the trenches of WW I to the rice paddies of Vietnam.
We spent too much time and were not able to visit the second half of the museum showing the present and future of the first division.

I love the Riverwalk! It's prefect for a cool summer evening stroll... and we always see wildlife up close- raccoons, opossums, turtles. I love the murals near the Water Street Development and the 9/11 tribute area. It's a great place to grab a drink and a bite to eat too.

Large, historically-restored stables with no horses, entrances all roped-off from visitors. A large expensive brick parking lot (empty), groomed 1.6 miles white gravel trail (only a single pair of bicyclists). A home on site for security staff. A few mighty fancy sculptures. Not a soul on site to answer questions. No visitors to speak of. Unclear on the purpose of this property.

We've been here during the summer and now the winter (for the Winter Illumination). Both times we've loved it. I was taken back by the cost to walk through a small part of the arboretum during the winter but after doing it, it was well worth the cost. The lights are beautiful. We went as a group and the adults and kids enjoyed it (even though it was close to 0 degrees). There are warming stations and fire pits along the way so you can warm up with a drink (adult drinks too) or by the fire.

We went to Kline Creek Farm for their Country Fair day over the Labor Day holiday. We had a great time touring the grounds and participating in the "Fair" activities. This is a beautiful place to take family pictures too. Wonderful to support a historical gem and show your children a by gone era.

The Kane County Cougars have been around for years. Expect some Midwestern summer foods, a lot of families with children and between inning entertainment. The split-the-pot raffle is definitely a chance worth taking - I won $366 in August of 2016. Go on a fireworks night.

We were entertained recently at the performance of Cabaret and recommend seeing this production! As usual, we are never disappointed with any of the Paramount productions and again, this is a superb performance!
It is arranged for Adults and is not age appropriate for young children! Thank you Paramount for this entertaining show of Cabaret!
One of the only disappointments at the theatre is the line for the women's rest room during the 15 minute intermission. Since a female dominated audience it is hard to get in the restroom, grab a refreshment at the bar, and back in your seat before the second half begins....
Hurrah the new theatre seats are arriving this coming summer 2018! They have served us all well over the 80 plus years!

My wife and I decided to visit this place because it had some gardens to see and we hadn't been there in awhile. Also it was somewhere to go on a sunny day. The only problem was there was a lot of construction going on at the place, but it was still worth visiting. They have this 1st Division Museum on the property that was just recently opened and it was an interesting place to see. If you go there, you need to see the museum. We saw some humming birds and some beautiful gardens.

Great place for families with small children. Be prepared - it is very noisy and chaotic but with many, many hands-on activities. Very clean and well maintained with great staff. A nice afternoon activity.
