Birthplace of Andal one of the 12 Alwar saints. There are two temples connected to each other - Andal temple and Vadapathrasayee temple. Dont forget to visit the garden where Andal was found as a baby by Periyazhvar - another of the 12 Alwars. Not much crowded except for Margazhi month.

We went on moderate rainy day. The reservoir water on the foot hill was mud color due to rain. The view from top was good. The priest in the temple was not in a good mood. He was saying harshly to devotees who has archana sit there i will do it in need sometime. A small temple and aerial view is good.
