We hiked the easy Sendero de Los Craters in Villerrica National Park. 8 km totally round trip. About 208 metres in elevation. Takes you across lava rock, through lush forest, to a viewpoint looking at the surrounding Mountains and the volcano. You can go further onto the lava rock with more panoramic views before turning around.

Another fantastic place that i have been fortunate to visit in this lifetime. An hours flight away from Santiago to Temuco and a little drive into Villarrica, during their winters was magical. Staying at one of their spa resports hanging over the lake and the Andes in the background was pretty magical. Crispy -4 degree early morning runs there were to die for with the stars looking like you could pluck them right out of the skies, hanging so close. Pure bliss. I miss not having gone up the volcano though.

Awesome ! Great option for solo travellers and for groups. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. It is one of the only travel agencies open during the low season. Would use them again and again.

About one hour south of Santiago by air, you arrive to Temuco, one of the major airports at Region IX. This is a beautiful area of the country, with multiple lakes, active and dormant volcanoes and a privileged climate. About 1-2 hours from the Pacific coast, this region offers lush vegetation, and a number of resorts, including Pucon and Villarica. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, exploring the volcanoes and caves or just sitting back and relaxing by the lake. Additional lakes and volcanoes continue towards the South, until arriving to Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt. From here, crossing over to Argentina and arriving to San Carlos de Bariloche is a spectacular voyage, done by land and water in a leisurely way. It is best in the summer, although Bariloche provides excellent opportunities for skiers.

The doors to the Cathedral were wide open so as much as we wanted to enter we had to be satisfied with a view through the iron railings of the gates. So we have to look forward to another Canadian winter visit in 2019. Our pics were the best we could accomplish from our side of the iron.

I love this store, they have beatifull and excellent products, different from any other hand craft store in the city. There are too many options from ceramic to wool, wood, for home or for me...
Visit the store give me the oportunity to have a great over view of the handcraft and decorates product in the area.
Even when they have cheap and expensive products, I feel all prices are fare because the quality of the products and the hard job the artisans need to make them.

Un hermoso lago muy cerca de la ciudad de Villarrica. Se encuentra alejado de los grandes circúitos turisticos, y es mejor así. La naturaleza se muestra en todo su esplendor, mostrando la enorme belleza del sur de nuestro país.
