Beautiful long beach on the Atlantic coast. The site is often shrouded in fog (in November) but it creates magical charm to the site. Do not miss this place!

Cycling the Algarve coast, we passed through Salema and cruised right by the beach where we had to stop and take in the scene. Off the main highway, Salema was quiet this time of year and the beach empty. The sand was white and the water a clear aqua-blue. All I could think was: why isn't this our destination for the day? There is a nearby older part of town that possesses an old-world charm. If you are looking to travel to this part of Portugal, take a close look at Selema and its beach.
