Popular beach featuring a myriad of shops, accommodations and restaurants, plus a boardwalk offering rides, fun and games the whole family can enjoy.
Fantastic Beach to visit with a family of young children. It's clean and the boardwalk offers plenty of attractions. There is a Ferris wheel, roller coasters, games, arcades, mini golf, and tons of shops. Stop by 3 Brothers from Italy for great food. Just a great place to visit.

Years ago Double Trouble was a cranberry bog that not grew and harvested them, but did the packaging and shipping. People lived there. Time marched on. The family that owned the land turned it over to the state. Now you can swim, canoe, raft, and have fun in the clean water of Cedar Creek....along with Fido. Double Trouble is dog friendly. A lot of the old buildings are still there still holding a lot of the old contents. There are many trails to walk and explore the area. And, if you are lucky, you'll find the old family cemetery (which is still active) hidden away (and I do mean hidden) in the forest. Needless to say, we've been there more than once, and always find something new to explore and enjoy.

We are New Jersey's premier venue for all things Pirate. Our facilities, Pirate Ship, and crew are unmatched. Set Sail on the Sea Gypsy II for a Pirate Adventure your family will be talking about for years to come.
What a wonderful experience! We took our 5 and 2 year old girls, who had a blast! Arrive early so that you can enjoy the free kid tatoos and check out the area. The children are separated from the adults on the boat and engaged in an adventure then entire trip. The adults were able to sit back and relax for an hour, it was wonderful!! I would HIGHLY recommend taking the last trip for the day... so you can also enjoy the sunset :) And don't forget to wear your Pirate Gear!!

Myself and friends went for the coaster event they had going on. Wish they would include unlimited rides on their extreme rides like moreys does, but nonetheless it was still a great time. The new coaster " Hydrus " is short and sweet, packs a punch and a lot of hang time. All the staff were friendly and the whole gang had a blast. The new Ferris wheel looks amazing. Great views and stunning light package at night
Thanks for a fun filled day.

My husband and I and another couple booked the afternoon sail 2p-5p with Captain Mike. We live locally so getting there wasn't an issue. Ship departs from Nelson Marina on the Toms River, easy to get to. Just GPS 12 Lake Drive, in Island Heights....MoreThank you for your excellent review and rating. So glad that I could earn this from you. I hope to see you aboard again. Thanks, Capt. Mike

A bit out of the way but that's good because the playground - which has two areas depending on age level - was not crowded. Adequate parking, and there's a series of trails that wind across the park. They have a nature center which has exhibits related to the Pinelands. There's an observation deck too, but be warned: when we went there was a sign saying that wasps frequent the deck (so back to the elevator we went.) Bathrooms accessible from outside next to nature center. Fields also for various sports.

Wonderful historic Victorian Home deeded to the Artist Guild which has small gift shop and several halls of local art on display either to be in a juried art show or for a particular showing. All excellent. If in town for several weeks there are many art classes offered reasonably priced for adults and teens. Two blocks from Riverfront boardwalk which is a joy to stroll. A few shops/restaurants to grab a bite to eat. Could spend about 2 hours.
