We had never gone on a coaster ride like this before and thoroughly enjoyed it.. my father of 65years also loved it.. so you take the chairlift up and then ride on the coaster down almost 3km of winding paths .. great fun

Our visit to the Triberg waterfall had been a bit of a disappointment, so when we drove up to the Todtnau waterfalls I was a bit apprehensive. Fortunately, I was happily surprised with the fact that the experience was way different. There is a small and free parking lot on top of the hill. There is a sign of the area and the paths and an arc that marks the start of the trail. There is no ticketbooth and so you can enter for free. The way down is a bit steep at the beginning, but very doable. I would recommend good footwear though, if you have any. Before to long, you'll see the top part of the waterfall. It wasn't crowded at all and the paths were all well maintained. In some places a little canopy was made and there were some laid-back chairs to enjoy the view. Also, you could really get close to the waterfall and even wade through the shallow parts. The waterfall may not be as high as the Triberg once, but I found them just as spectacular and beautiful. The road leads you down to a platform half way the waterfall, were you'll get some more spectacular views. You can either go further down into the valley and to the foot of the waterfall, but we crossed a bridge and decided to take the path back up again. This lead us back up to the main path. This route is circular and makes for a nice and varied hike. Especially the path back up, on the other side of the waterfall, is quite adventurous. It leads you past nice rock formations and it has stairs.
