The holy city of Tirupati draws tourists and religious pilgrims alike, who flock to the Ancient Lord Venkateswara Temple, known for its elaborate Dravidian style and gold-plated cupola. Prayers are offered daily at this popular temple, which sits high in the Tirumala hills. Several other temples dot the town, and the lush countryside contains numerous waterfalls. Tirupati is also home to a rare, naturally-occurring pre-Jurassic stone arch that is 25 feet long and 10 feet high, one of only three of these geological features in the world.

For the believers the place is divine.. the long wait in the ques for a few seconds of darshan is well worth it.. the arrangements are very good with facilities provided at every crucial place.. try and take a Rs 300 darshan ticket for a faster experience..

This temple is located on the left side of the pushkarani near the tirupati temple.. This temple is a must visit place for pilgrims who visit Tirumala. It is said that Lord varahaswamy owns the Tirumala, and he gave place to Lord venkateshwara. Hence, Lord venkateshwara told that each and every devotees who come to have darshan of HIM should first have the darshan of Lord varahaswamy.. only then the purpose of visit to Tirumala will be completed.. Hence, those who visit Tirumala,kindly have darshan of Lord varahaswamy and get HIS blessings..

Tirupathi is the town at the ground level while Tirumala, the temple town is on TOP of the seven hills. Hindus worship this God after standing several hours in queue because everyday over 100,000 people come to have dharshan of this Lord Balaji also known as Lord Venkateshwara. The temple authorities have mastered the art of crowd management and provide enough food, water and shelter before during and after dharshan. The temple authority runs a transport system for passengers to go up the hill and return to base Tirupathi.

Located in Tiruchanoor, about 5km away from Tirupati, it is abode of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi, the beloved consort of Lord Venkateswara. It is believed that one should seek her divine blessings before going to Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala. According to temple legend Goddess Mahalakshmi emerged on the golden lotus as Padmavathi Devi located at the centre of Padmasarovaram-the temple tank. No mobile phone or camera is allowed inside. You can deposit them at the counter near the entrance. If you are in a hurry you should buy Rs100 ticket for a quick darshan. The ticket also affords a closer look at the deity than the general darshan line.

After visiting tirumala, one can visit SrinivasaManagapuram Temple located just 13kms away from tirupati. Frequent buses are available and its a short trip. Kalyana Venkateswara swamy idol is so lively and idol is taller than tirumala idol

The temple stands at the entrance to a mountain cave in one of the steep and vertical faces at the foot of the Tirumala hills which are part of Seshachalam Hills, where the waters of the mountain stream fall directly into Temple Pushkarini known as "Kapila Theertham". A huge stone statue of a seated bull "Nandhi", Shiva's steed, greets devotees and passersby at the entrance to the temple. During 'Kartika' month on the occasion of its "mukkoti" on the 'Purnima' (full moon) day, all the teerthas situated in the three world's merge into this Kapila Teertham at noon for ten 'Ghatikas' (one ghatika is equivalent to 24 minutes) It is believed that persons bathing in it at that auspicious time will attain Moksha (salvation) from the cycle of birth and death !

There are total ways to reach Tirumala from Tirupati 1. Alipiri padalu- 4 km distance from Tirupati. Total 3550 steps to climb and is of around 11 km walk distance. Around 3 to 6 hours it will take to reach Tirumala by this Route 2. By Ghat Road- distance from tirupati to tirumala is 20.83 km via this Ghat road and will take around 1 hour Travel time. Buses are available at 2 min frquency 3. Sri Vari Mettu - This is the 3rd option available to reach to Tirumala. Total 2388 steps are there and travel distance is 2.1 km which will take 1.5 to 3 hours depend on your walking speed. sri Vari Mettu located in Srinivasa Mangapuram, which is 15 km away from tirupati Once reach to here we have facility to hand over luggage to staff and they will transport the same to tirumala by truck and we can climb steps without any load. once luggage is handed over we can start claiming steps. Before starting please note following few things. 1. it is believed that steps are holy steps. so remove your footwear and carry in bag or Hand. Dont walk with footwear 2. at 1200th step they are issuing free biometric entry tickets for first 6000 people, for which ID Proof is mandatory for all members. Aadhar is preferable 3. Wash Rooms and drinking water are available at regular Frequency 4. No shops are available, but One can have snacks and fruits shops on Foot path 5. This road is open till 5pm to walk so it is suggestible to plan your trip in the morning. As per my opinion this is the best way to reach to Tirumala

This water fall is situated, about 3 hours by road from Chennai, with about 1.5 KM trek up the hill, almost near Tirupati. Virgin forest and travel by two wheeler and trekking is very popular. Absolute silence and sin set or sunrise can be excellent time. The falls shimmers down like Silver Cascade.
