Visitors to Teton Village will find great skiing at Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park. Most tourists stick to the Jackson Hole Nordic Center, which offers great downhill and cross-country skiing, but there are miles of lesser-known trails and black-diamond slopes in the Park for the more adventurous.

Just returned from our trip to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. We took the tram to the top of Rendezvous Bowl. The ticket price was included in our ski pass, so no additional cost if you are skiing or boarding. The runs at the top are for experts only. All black or double black at the very top. There are a few blue runs, but only reachable from a black or double blacks. They do warn everyone that this particular mountain peak is for experts only. If you are not an expert skier they advise you to ride the tram back down. The line moves pretty quickly as it accommodates 100 people and their skis or snowboards. It is however a very tight squeeze. Everyone is packed in shoulder to shoulder. Definitely not for those that are claustrophobic. Once the doors shut, you really can’t move too much and you become close friends with those that were strangers minutes earlier. Unless you are standing near the windows you can’t really see anything. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the top. We rode it twice and the second time we were lucky enough to be near the window. There was good visibility that day and took in some great views of the mountain.

Experience one of the most iconic ski destinations in the North America! Over 4,000 vertical feet of skiing off the legendary Aerial Tram. Expanded beginner and intermediate terrain. Also a summer destination for hikers, bikers and sightseers. There are always fun concerts and events happening in Teton Village!
This mountain is an amazing place to ski or snowboard. The options are endless, you can do the same run several times and never follow the same lines. The mountain staff a very helpful and lift lines are kept to a minimum, with well organised occupancy of all lifts.
This resort has some of the best backcountry skiing/snowboarding you can find, without the need to hike for hours.
Love this resort and the town still keeps its charm

This small church was built in 1925 and has a great view of the Tetons.
The Chapel of the Transfiguration still holds Episcopalian services on Sunday (as well as weddings). It is part of the Menor's Ferry Historical District - land was donated for the chapel by long time settler and park proponent Maude Noble in the 1920s. The chapel was built for settlers and for those visiting dude ranches in the area. It's log construction is well kept and you can ring the bell at the gate if you like.

The pass is a few miles out of town. The drive up is pretty with curves and a steep grade. There is not a sign at the pass, so it's easy to miss. The views are great from the pass. There are hiking trails from here too.

Wyoming Stargazing is an educational 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We are dedicated to educating and inspiring our community through Wyoming's extraordinary skies. We provide public and private stargazing events, as well as astronomy lectures and planetarium programs! Our vision is to build a public observatory and planetarium in Jackson Hole.
Being a city girl has its perks, but seeing beautiful night sky and stars is not one of them. My eyes were aching for some beauty so I booked a trip to Jackson Hole with my kids to escape NYC and catch some beautiful sights. Once I found Wyoming Stargazing, I nearly jumped for joy. A trip with someone who can point out the night sky to me and my kids? Yes, Please. I could not wait. After a rather bumpy start with other employees of the company, we ended up going on a private viewing tour with Sam, the founder. He picked us up at our hotel right on time and me and my two kids piled into his late model SUV. We drove out of Jackson Hole and then turned off the main road onto a dirt road. We clunked along for a short time and he parked in the middle of a large plain. The National Elk Refuge. My kids JUMPED out of the car when they spotted a few Elk standing off in the grass. I only got out of the car in time to hear the sound of the small herd spritely running away from us. My kids were immediately in awe. Sam went to work setting up a large telescope and also a table with cider and hot chocolate. Next he took out three chairs, blanket and ipads. He handed my son a pair of Virtual Goggles. And, our adventure through the galaxy began. We saw a lot and definitely enjoyed having the ipad maps to guide us, as well as the blankets to warm up. I don't think any of us sat as we were all so excited to take our turn peering through the telescope lens. To be honest, I did not want the night to end, but after answering a dizzying array of questions my kids (and I) posed, it was clear that though our spirits were willing our yawns declared the night was coming to a close. It was wonderful to have the experience of being picked up and brought to such a special location and view some of nature's beauty and then climb back in the car knowing we were going to be dropped off right in front of our hotel. I would gladly book this special experience again and look forward to being able to do so. Thank you Sam for a wonderful end to our trip to Jackson Hole.

Wild Things of Wyoming is all about the natural history of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. We lead the highest quality ecotourism excursion, teach photography and lead astronomy evenings. We also develop educational resources such as field guides for visitors to this amazing region. Wild Things of Wyoming is based out of the high-end eco-resorts, Hotel Terra & Teton Mountain Lodge, located in Jackson Hole's one and only Teton Village.
The highlight of our week long vacation in Jackson Hole was a guided tour of Yellowstone Park arranged by Wild Things of Wyoming.
Our guide,Colin Boeh was simply superb beyond words. He was passionate about his job and was a walking and talking encyclopedia of knowledge from start to finish. He made us feel as if we had been friends for a lifetime and also had a great sense of humor.
We were picked up at our hotel at 7:00 am and greeted with some of the best coffee that Colin brewed himself that was also the best we had during our stay and he also offered healthy breakfast options.
Although the weather was raining and snowy most all of our tour and we had second thoughts about even going,Colin had such an upbeat personality and knowlege about the park and local folklore that we never had a dull minute.
He knew about park locations off the beaten tourist track and where to find the animals and unusual sightings.
We saw, bear, bear cubs, moose,Elk,Coyotes,Bald Eagles, mule deer, and visited Tall Falls,Old Faithful, many geysers,Prismatic lake and so much more.I spoke with folks who toured with other guides and companies and they did not see many of the animals and sightings we saw.
The tour included a nice lunch, refreshments whenever you wanted and quite simply the best guide experience I have had in many years.
You should not miss an opportunity to book a guided trip through the parks with this company and I promise that it is well worth the money. You will indeed be purchasing some of the best memories imaginable and that is what travel is all about.
Very highly recommended !!!

We took this road and enjoyed the scenery. Into the drive down this road, we came across a large group of people we scopes and long lens on cameras...they were looking at a mother bear and two cubs in a tree. We stopped and watched, eventually seeing the mother bear come down followed by here cubs. They paused and waddled off up the hill....was very interesting and exciting.

I love this hotel. On short notice, they graciously accommodated me from a not-so-good experience elsewhere, and salvaged my two week vacation.
It was a quiet, clean, and friendly experience. The entire staff has been trained exceptionally, and represent the brand in a good light.
I had dinner with a friend at the grill, and my salmon was perfect; she a trained chef and foodie was equally impressed with hers. Halibut in my room the next night was very good. The menu is not over-the-top fancy, but the food was straight forward and GOOD!
My take aways:
Bed and pillows exceptional- I slept great and sound. When I am on vacation, I need restful sleep, and I got it here!
LOVED Brookover's photo video display each night to classical piano, a relaxing treat!!
Laundry service is fabulous and as frequent as you need it.
Staff is aware and cognizant of special needs/allergies; they were proactive once they were alerted.
Igor was kind and wonderful in a short accommodation; Alex on top of it from the restaurant; Concierge desk are all pros, as reception and the rest in all the other areas.
Needs a bit of work: the gift shops were lacking a bit. Needed to round out more sundries items. Also, more items unique to the area could be featured.

Stopped here as part of our exploration of the Grand Tetons. Gained a real appreciation for the contribution of the Rockefellers and their role in creating this park and Yellowstone. Went on a decent hike and saw many animal tracks, but no animals this time. As with all of this park - carry bear spray!
