We are a military history museum located at the site of one of six British Flying Training Schools operated in the US during WW II. Come and see one of the only RAF Museums currently in the United States.
This is an OUTSTANDING museum dedicated to the Anglo-American cooperation between the British RAF and American Army Air Corps for Pilot training for the duration of World War II. I've known several 8th Air Force men who served in the UK who knew British Pilots who trained in Terrell, hence my strong interest. The museum has many interesting displays, but my favorite was the almost complete Link Trainer with all Instructor controls. The history of the base is well covered, as well as a somber exhibit to the RAF Cadets who died in accidents during training. A 15 minute video with interviews of local Terrell residents who were there during the base's operation from June 1941 to June 1945 was very well done. I was taken over to the maintenance hangar where restoration work on an AT-6 is underway, and heard the museum has acquired a Stearman that will soon arrive. This is a MUST SEE museum if you live in the Dallas area or are travelling through Dallas. Kudo to the museum staff for all their hard work in keeping the memories alive!

Books and Crannies is a independent bookstore located in historic downtown Terrell, Tx. We offer all genres of books (mostly used), a locally produced line of skin care items (Susan's Soaps and More), and we have an upscale ladies consignment shop in the same building with us. We also have a small movie theatre in the back of the store. We take gently used books in for trade credit.
I really enjoyed visiting this book store. The prices were great and the selection was vast. Don't forget to check the back corner for hidden records! I found some real gems for just $4 and $5.

SPEND YOUR SATURDAY NIGHT IN PURSUIT OF THE HAUNTED STREETS OF TERRELL, TEXAS The Terrell Ghost Walk Our knowledgeable paranormal expert will show you areas of Terrell’s Small Business District that are rarely, if ever, visited. Although the breathtaking architecture will take your breath away, you will quickly be reminded that spirits still linger and manifest in the city of Terrell on a continuous basis. There is no shortage of ghostly interactions shared by staff, owners, volunteers, customers, the Terrell Police Department officers, and unnamed city officials. Some teammates have experienced firsthand what goes bump in the night, the day. The Paranormal Triangle in Terrell Visit the strange “Triangle,” where an admittedly nervous parade of Terrell Police Officers witnessed humanoid-shaped shadows repeatedly on CCTV. They were simply monitoring the streets for safety and had not anticipated seeing the strange figures stroll down the sidewalk as if it were logical.

This is a good outlet. The Nike and Haggar store are our favorites! It’s generally clean and the sales people in the shops are nice
