If you love pottery as much as I do then Sara’s studio is not to be missed! So many beautiful pieces it was hard to choose just a handful. So many options to choose from...loved the vibe with Sara working away, beautiful classical music playing. I can’t wait to return!

Hard Honey Beverage Company

Reviewed By NBAdvisor - Riverview, Canada

A group of us, (8) took the short drive out to the Hard Honey beverage company, while visiting Tatamagouche. The owner spent time explaining his process and aspirations. There was a picnic table outside where we sampled the drinks. We really enjoyed the Mojito flavour. More importantly, we supported a “Small Business “. Worth the very short drive. Call first....

Appleton Chocolates Company

Being in the heart of Maple and Wild Blueberry country it seemed only appropriate for someone to combine these delights. Today we use the same recipe to make 13 different and equally delicious, non-traditional truffle. After boiling up a large pot of maple syrup and sugar into our unique maple fondant, which is kind of like maple cream, we mix in wild blueberries, cherries, cranberries, ginger, dark rum, black currants, walnuts, and coffee and hand form into balls. On the same day they are rolled they get their first bath in delicious French Dark Chocolate, Belgian Milk Chocolate, or Belgian White Chocolate. After being hand dipped they sit to harden, generally sitting for a whole day. They get another thick coat of chocolate before resting once again and then being wrapped individually, by hand, in coloured foils.

Visiting tatamagush and came across Appletons chocolate store. The cute little shop was very interesting so we ventured in. Not looking for anything in particular. Was greeted by the owner and was told a little about the history of the company. This was very interesting and intriguing. I am very happy we decided to go in. I had a chocolate dragon and my LOVER and WIFE had truffles. By the way it was the best chocolate I have ever had in my life. Thank you Appletons for the wonderful experience.

Ocean Lane Bowling-Sports Bar

Ocean lanes bowling and sports bar is a great little spot for a fun time if you happen to be spending some time in the Tatamagouche area. My boyfriend and I went for a few hours, ordered some local beers and had a wonderful night. The staff were kind small town folk. There is also option for food as there is a Greco inside. The bar is quite large. It includes a pool table, a stage for live acts on certain days and slot machines. The beer and food prices were great and so were the bowling prices. Highly recommend for any family/friend/couple activities when not enjoying the beautiful nature that is Tatamagouche.
