Tarija or San Bernardo de la Frontera de Tarixa is a city in southern Bolivia. Founded in 1574, Tarija is the largest city & capital and municipality within the Tarija Department, with an airport (Capitán Oriel Lea Plaza Airport, (TJA)) offering regular service to primary Bolivian cities, as well as a regional bus terminal with domestic and international connections. Its climate is semi-arid (BSh) with generally mild temperatures in contrast to the harsh cold of the Altiplano (i.e., La Paz) and the year-round humid heat of the Amazon Basin (i.e., Santa Cruz de la Sierra). Casa Real is Bolivia’s largest Singani distillery. With its French copper stills and beautiful vineyards, Casa Real is proud of the quality of its Singani. Visitors can see closely how this emblematic “eaux de vie” is made and appreciate the loftiness of the hillside vineyards. Free guided tours, boutique and tasting room available.
The structure doesn't look like much from a distance. At first glance you would say it looked like a warehouse, but once you park you realize that a lot thought was taken to design the building, its placement and the setting. A huge more than 30 ft tall wooden door welcomes you to this singani production site. You get to see the machinery, and learn the differences between how to make singani versus brady. You get a great tasting event in a sunny modern courtyard. It was a truly first rate experience.

One of the best experiences of nature discovery in the heart of Bolivian Andes. The Valley of Condors is a new destination of birdwatching who offers well organizated tours of 1 to 4 days to really meet condors in their natural habitat observing them from the top of the precipices where they fly. These tours are also a privileged moment to meet the farmers and people of southern bolivia, like the mountain guides, the woman who cook for you and the owners of the farm hotel where you'll sleep on the first night. The Valley of Condors households one of the most important colonies of Andean Condors in the world. It's an excellent choice for the traveler who wants to discover new natural settings, far away of the beaten paths, and for travelers who are looking for an authentic, human and well organized South American adventure. Take the plunge! You will go through steep paths where you will feel the condor brushing past you, discovering breathtaking landscapes and smiling people.

Campos de Solana is known for the quality of its wines. It is a very modern and yet cozy winery. The staff is kind and helpful. There is a boutique, a tasting room and a beautiful terraza where visitors can enjoy Tarija’s amazing weather while tasting Bolivia’s most awarded wines.
We were only 3, but the tour was very informative. The young woman giving the tour presented everything very well. The tour was in Spanish. I asked a few questions in English which she understood and answered with no trouble. It’s a beautiful winery and with all the grape vines green and with tons of grapes were lovely.
