What a great railway, the staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming. My friend and I have never visited before, we got a really good welcome form one member of staff who on noticing we worked for a Heritage Railway got a great tour of the loco sheds and a ride before it opened to the public which was great. After this we bought ticket for another ride and bought on for the trip we had. The track layout is great, it’s a good 10 minute ride which is well worth the ticket price, will highly recommend friends to visit this railway, a true hidden gem.

The birthplace of British motorsport and aviation.
We had a great day out here. Very atmospherically restored to reflect the huge amounts of heritage. Loads of classic sports cars and an awesome Wellington bomber factor where you can learn about the whole aircraft design and manufacturing through a modern and interactive exhibits (with many ethusiastic volunteer tour guides!). Also there's a Concorde, and much more!

Discover Victorian paintings and sculpture in the historic Watts Gallery before treating yourself to lunch or a cream tea in the Tea Shop. Stroll to the nearby Grade-I listed Watts Chapel, taking in the beautiful woodlands and grounds, or find out more about the lives of our founders G F and Mary Watts on a tour of the artists' home, Limnerslease. Finally, discover art for sale in the Watts Contemporary exhibition in the Pottery Building along with a wide selection of gifts, books and homewares in the Shop.
It was an enjoyable visit, some great work on display in the different parts of the complex. There was a very enjoyable William Orpen exhibition showing alongside the permanent collection. They have a very good shop as well as an Artist in residence. The visit finished with a pleasant cup of tea in the cafe.

We run approximately 50 steam train day trips and several holidays by steam each year in the UK and Ireland. We offer several classes of travel including Pullman Style Dining which provides a premium railway dining experience. Carriages are restored and refurbished 1950s coaches with wood-panelled walls, comfortable seats, individual table lamps and curtains at the windows. On most day trips in Pullman Style, welcome glasses of champagne accompany the breakfast or brunch on the outward journey. On the return journey you will be welcomed on board with canapes before being served a four-course meal with a complimentary half bottle of wine per person. Other classes include Premier Dining, First Class and Premium Standard.

Set in 26 acres of landscaped gardens, Birdworld is one of the largest bird parks in the UK! In addition to birds from around the world, Birdworld is also home to the Jenny Wren Farm featuring some of our fluffier residents! During a visit there are lots of daily events, including penguin feeding, animal encounters and the amazing Outdoor Flying Display (Easter- End October)! Also not to be missed is Penguin Beach, a fantastic walkthrough exhibit featuring a colony of African Penguins. Birdworld has numerous catering outlets but also plenty of space for picnics!
This is a fantastic day out. Best to come in warmer weather but you won't be disappointed. We have been going for years. Birds everywhere of all different types. The Jenny Wren farm is part of the attraction and about 5 mins walk from front entrance, where there are chickens running around and many farm animals. There are shows throughout the day. Play parks on site. Our only criticism is the cafe, not a lot of choice at all food wise, no gluten free options apart from soup. Not worth even bothering, apparently you can walk through to forest lodge cafe, we will do this in future.

Visited Clubrooms at the south terminal and was looked after by Tom for the evening. Tom was extremely professional and seemed passionate about his job, making chat with everyone in the lounge. It’s an intimate lounge which really adds to the experience. The food and beverages on offer were great , recommend the smoked trout and makhani curry on offer! Our glasses were topped up all night and I’d have no hesitations coming back. Really pleased after the mixed reviews online
