Conveniently located on Route 61 just south of Sunbury, Whispering Oaks Vineyard is one of the area's finest attractions. This family owned and operated vineyard, winery & event venue offers a wide selection of award winning wines, as well as PA produced beers and some tasty 'lite bites'. In addition to all of our delicious offerings, guests are delighted by the spectacular views of the vineyard & Susquehanna River Valley. Designed with weddings in mind Whispering Oaks Vineyard is the premier location for fairy tale weddings. Our large event space (the 'Cill Dara') is able to accomodate up to 299 guests and is fully handicap accessible. Our small event space makes the perfect location for rehearsal dinners, showers, birthday parties and any other celebration. Buses are able to easily access our facility and love the commercial driveway and large parking lot. We invite you to visit us so that you can see first hand why we say 'The Difference is in Our Roots'.
A friend & I visited Whispering Oaks Vineyard today - we will definitely be going back! Jacki C who waited on us was Terrific! She handled everything well considering this COVID business & was very accommodating! The wines we checked out were VERY good! The place is beautiful with spectacular views! An absolutely beautiful place for a wedding venue or just to relax & sample some of their wines & enjoy an appetizer! We like to visit local wineries & this was one of the best!

My girlfriend and I saw this location on Facebook. I saw that they had mainly dry reds, which was perfect for us! Don't be thrown off by where you turn in (it's on a lot with a house and garage). It's cute as all get out. Upon entering, we were greated by Nicco, who was very knowledgeable and personable. The wines are phenomenal!! Get here ASAP!

A unique winery, located in a renovated 1814 bank barn just outside of Sunbury, PA. Spyglass plays host to large concerts, weddings and many types of events. A large selection of dry and sweet wines. Fifteen acres of vines and an onsite micro-brewery round out the Spyglass experience.
Spyglass Ridge Winery is situated in a bucolic farm area that makes a perfect ampitheater. Most of the bands featured here (think Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, Foreigner, Styx, to name a few) have been thrilled to play in such a gorgeous setting, remarking over and over about it throughout their show. I bring a comfy chair and a bit of cheese, but I also end up buying the delicious food from their vendors. I put down one date, but I rarely miss a concert there since they started doing them a few years ago. Over the years, they have gone from having an annual Celtic Fest to having about a band a month during the warm months. Rumor has it the Celtic Fest is coming back, but either way, this is a very relaxing way to see some of the bands you want to see before they stop performing. They have an assortment of food vendors and I highly recommend the crabcake sandwich and the roasted veggies over salad. There are all sorts of wines from dry to sweet including some fruit wines. Soon their Three Beards Brewery will be open, but for now they have gotten the PLCB's blessing to sell their beers at the concerts. They vary according to season, but you're sure to find something that you like. Sidenote: March Madness features bands each weekend in March and they always have free munchies included in the admission. Bands tend to be more on the bluesy side, but not always. They have this in their beautiful barn. You have to walk up to the back of it to get in, but you'll find the entrance.

The Shikellamy Overlook at the edge of the State Park is one of the most beautiful views in Pennsylvania and the United States. Looking down from those jagged rocks above Northampton and Sunbury, water stretches out in every direction as far as the eye can see. Mesmerizing, breath-taking, simply don't haven enough superlatives to throw at this behemoth of natural beauty. The confluence of the rivers appears almost like a lake or bay, the scope and size of it hard to comprehend for those unfortunate enough to never see it for themselves. Born and bred in NEPA, I was aware of this place but until visiting it for the first time this year I simply could not imagine it's magnificence. This is probably the most easily accessible gorgeous view around, there are parking areas mere feet from the edge and tons of tables and covered areas for picnics.

I had lunch here with a friend on Saturday. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. Delicious, and freshly prepared. They have a great menu and I am looking forward to coming back.

I am new to Sunbury and besides the shopping centers this park is the only place I visit everytime I get a chance. I would love to put together a family event there. I have coordinated many outdoor/park events in Essex County NJ where I used to live, including but not limited to, the former East Orange Mayor's Picnic and the first House Music Festival in Newark NJ'S Vailsburg Park just to name a few. I have never been to a park this beautiful. My soul is always at peace here. I love it!
