To get there you either book a trip (65 Reais) that will bring you to few other destinations as well as here. Or you just go there on a collectivo (20 Reiais one way) which I did. The collectivo starts when the car is full which means you usually have to wait around an hour. The car drops you at the entrance of the beach club Alchymista where you spend your time. This place is very posh and I wasnt really up for it in this moment. If you want to spend a bit more time here bring some money since the prices here are a bit higher.
Its a beautiful white sand beach and the hammocks in the water are definitely an attraction. For me it was all a bit too commercial.

There’s something for people of all ages at Brazil’s largest water park, including pools, saunas, ecological walks, artificial rapids and – not for the fainthearted – a water slide the height of 14 floors.
It is the best option for fun in State of Ceara. All ages are invited for this attraction. It has a lot of restaurante inside the park. It has the beach nearby. You can do a lot of funny things in this place.Olá Daniel :) Que bom que superamos suas expectativas. Agradecemos a sua visita e esperamos com você aqui de novo!

A good stop on a tour with the buggy. Depending when you go it might be busy and difficult to get a good picture. Wear light clothing and bring drinks. The sun very hot during the days.

amazing typical Brazilian beach, away from crowded tourist's traps.... Must visit!!!!
To stay in Pontal de Maceio you have two great options, "Hotel Vila Selvagem" luxury right on the beach and the quiet and cosy guest house "la maison blanche"
things to do: Buggy tour, kite Surfing (2 kitesurf schools), fishing on a traditional jangada with local fisherman's (what an experience!!!), horse back riding on the beach, or just enjoy the beach... Sun all year long guaranteed.

I stayed at the Vivamar hotel (which is great, and RIGHT ON THE BEACH) for 2 weeks. The beach is beautiful, light brown sand, clean, lots of strong waves, shallow. You can rent ATVs on the weekend, about 60-80 Br$ for an hour. VW beach buggies you can not rent, just have a tour in (with a driver). During the week Lagoinha beach is very quiet, not so on the weekends. But it never gets crowded at all. They are building some huge resort north of Lagoinha but it will probably take a few years to finish.
Best food is Vivamar hotel restaurant or Mariane on the town square.

This is a wonderful remote beach. the outter "sweet waters" offer spectacular swimming and tropical views. There are pools that can be swam to with some effort and offer more views and privacy. The ocean side beach was clean and refreshing. We brought our own lunch to have midday and had drinks later by the beach at a near by restaurant. This is definitely worth the drive from Fortaleza. Plan to spend the whole day there! Locals were also fishing and we got to see a sting ray set free.

Sunset view from the sand dunes in a relaxing atmosphere! To end a day watching the sun going down far far away, is something everyone should take time to do everyday!

Stayed there only 2 nights while travelling to Jericoacoara...the beach is nice, with many restaurants all around, also few nice places to spend the night.
