This attraction covers nine miles of untouched beaches, dunes, bay forests and marshes.
We had the place to ourselves on spring break! We found starfish, which we threw back in as they were still alive. Beautiful flat gorgeous beaches... Just nature in its purity!

We have visited this facility several times over the past few years and it's very well done. Nicely organized, informative, and even has some short hikes around the exterior of the building that are lovely. But this past weekend we stopped by with my father and niece for a visit, and it was closed with no signs or notices. And I've heard from residents of the area that this isn't the first time this has happened. The gate was closed and locked despite the fact that it was during the open hours, as posted on their signage. It's important to let people know when you are going to be closed, especially for those that drive from far away to visit.

We have taken Journeys trips multiple times, and each time, they have been fantastic. The employees are knowledgeable and easy to get along with. We are complete fishing novices, and Jeremy made the trip super fun. We all caught fish and enjoyed our trip. We will definitely go with Journeys on our next trip.

Climb the lighthouse - 92 stairs to the top and see beautiful St. George Island high atop the lighthouse. Must be at least 40" tall to climb. We also have a wonderful museum and gift shop you can visit at no charge.
I love lighthouses! This is a wonderful, historic lighthouse where you can enjoy aerial views of St. George Island on Florida’s Forgotten Coast. There are 92 steps to the top and then an 8-rung metal ladder, but once you get there, you have a spectacular 360 degree view of St. George Island. The gift shop and tour are lovely, and I highly recommend visiting this charming island which is really like old Florida!

Krystal Miller was an awesome captain for my family and I during our fishing adventure. She was very informative on the area and the policy’s she also kept us very entertained and enlightened on life and fishing. I had never reeled in a red fish before and she coached me the whole way through. It was me, my sister, Mom, and soon to be step dad. She made us all feel welcomed and motivated. We are already planning our next trip with her for next year. I can’t wait!!

Stopped in the Island Dog while vacationing here at St George Island. Glad I did. This family operated store has some very unique items. And the friendliest and most helpful people that you will ever meet. Their prices were competitive and their quality seem to be higher than other souvenir shops on the island.

This was our family's first time doing Stand-Up Paddle-boarding (SUP) and we could not have had a better instructor than Sam. Sam was patient, informative and stayed with all our family members till they were able to stand up and paddle. Make no mistake, this is an experience that will push your muscles, especially core and calves. We worked on a calm bay which helped. Sam is great! We wish her the best and will be back!

We provide fishing charters, dolphin encounters, shelling trips, shark fishing, night fishing, kids adventures, sunset cruises, and custom trips. Come explore the ocean with Captain Lee Chapin. We are sure to provide you with the perfect fish tale and an amazing time on the water.
This was a spur of the moment, hope he is available opportunity. Thankfully, Captain Lee squeezed us in after his scheduled trips. The day was perfect! He was damn good at his job as we kept him hopping. He was calm and encouraging while I was using every muscle I had to reel in a fish that felt as big as Texas. It was an exciting, memorable and definitely a bucket list opportunity! The views, fishing and experience were exhilarating, all due to a very catering Captain. This should be on your to do list when visiting St. George's Island.

We stopped by Jolly Rodger after reading the other reviews and there are pros & cons of this establishment. First the pros- They have any and everything you could imagine needing to rent while staying on SGI. The folks working seemed to be pleasant enough and answered my son & his friends questions about fishing on the island which was nice of them especially seeing how busy they were...but, the cons- It was just too hectic for me. While the store has a lot of merchandise, it was very unorganized and cluttered. And the prices were very expensive.
