Come experience the truly genuine artifacts, photographs, and living culture within the Tsuut’ina Culture Museum. In 1977, the Canadian government mandated that First Nations culture be revived. The Tsuut’ina elders dream came to life in 1983 when the original Tsuut’ina Culture Museum opened its doors to the public. Come enjoy the new museum building located on the beautiful Tsuut’ina Nation where you will be able to learn about the rich cultural history. You can appreciate the mountain view while observing Chief Bullhead’s original homestead built in 1902, which is located beside the museum. Book an intimate tour with the Tsuut’ina Culture Museum’s Director Jeannette Starlight or observe on your own. The friendly staff will be glad to help if you have any questions. Do not forget to visit the Tsuut’ina Museum Gift Shop where you can find authentically hand made indigenous goods. The Tsuut’ina Culture Museum and Gift Shop welcomes you to join our circle!

Every July, millions of people come to Calgary's Stampede Park to take part in one of the world's largest rodeos and other popular activities such as chuckwagon racing and agricultural shows. The event's origins date back to 1912, when American Guy Weadick, a successful trick roper, got support to host an event called "Stampede" to celebrate the "disappearing" Old West. Since then, the event has grown drastically and has evolved into a celebration of the Old West, while reflecting the modern, multicultural aspects of the city.
I have done many driving tours and campings throughout British Columbia and Alberta in 2019 and the Best for the Year is the Calgary Stampede 2019 in Calgary, Alberta. It is now an Iconic Grand Event and Celebration in Calgary and World Famous. The ten days Rodeo, Exhibition and Celebration provide lots of fun and joyful activities. We enjoyed the City Street Parade and Festival albeit we could had better weather. The Rodeo Shows and Exhibtions were great and a must see and do. The Fair Ground and Food Street are great places for exciting rides and yummy BBQ Ribs and Food. The Evening Show at the Rodeo Stadium were great and spectacular plus the colourful Firework Display. A visit to the City and especailly Chinatown is interesting - surprisingly nice Chinese Food. A must vist place and evemt if one has not done so - Yahoo !

This is where south Calgarians go to relax and have fun right in the city! I'll probably see you there!

took a drive out to Spruce meadows to see the Christmas lights, fantastic show and free - due to construction on 22x it was a little confusing as to where to enter - heading west use the first entrance

South Glenmore is a bit the opposite of its cousin North Glenmore Park, which has oodles of parking and picnicking, but overall, is lacking in wild spaces. The shoreline to the Glenmore Reservoir in South Glenmore Park is beautifully wild, and starts right at 24 Street, and continues west to where the Weaselhead Natural Area begins. There are some great walking loops for the adventurous, using the asphalt path on the edge of the hillside, and then returning via the midway, less formal trails, or the shoreline itself to get back (or visa versa). The picnicking and playgrounds are near the 24 Street access point. On the west side, where 90 Avenue ends, is the best access to the wilder parts, and to the Weaselhead Natural Area.
