The largest city in China is also its most cosmopolitan, offering visitors a chance to experience the past, present, and future all at once. The Huangpu River splits Shanghai into two districts: Pudong and Puxi. The Pudong skyline looks like it was ripped from the Jetsons, with the bulbous Oriental Pearl TV and Radio Tower looking a bit like a two headed lollipop. On the Puxi side, you can walk the Bund riverside district to get a taste of old Shanghai.

Happy Valley Shanghai is a theme park consisting of seven themes: Happy Times, Typhoon Bay, Sunshine Beach, Ant Kingdom, Gold Mine Town, Shanghai Beach and Shangri-la Woods. Offering plenty of thrill rides for adults, Ant Kingdom is best for younger kids.
I love this place more than Disney! I went on a Wednesday and except for a bunch of school students the park was pretty empty. So if you don't like crowds go on a weekday. Two of the big rollercoasters weren't open which was a disappointment but there were plenty of other rides to go on. The best rides were the Gyro Swing and the fireball wooden rollercoaster. Safety is a big priority for all staff members and they double checked all rides before and after. We went during Halloween and the park was beautifully decorated and the performers costumes where so amazing! Definitely felt like they got the Halloween spirit right. The food was also not bad. The highlight of the evening was the water light show. I've never seen anything like that before... definitely recommend. Overall great atmosphere. great theme park.
