Sunblockers are your swimwear specialists. Since 2003 we have been personally fitting women, men and children in quality swimwear and accessories. We carry sizes 6-26 for women, newborn to size 16 for children and 28-44 for men. Our focus is swimwear but we also carry footwear, sunglasses, beach bags, beach cover-ups, hats, snorkel gear, swim caps and goggles. We hope to see you soon.
Due to Covid there is a limit of 3 customers in the store at time, so we got there before opening to wait outside, good thing we did because when we left there was lineup 12 yr old daughter needed swimsuits, we got 3 different ones that you would never find at Giant Tiger or Walmart. Staff were so helpful, patient and friendly. Huge selections of swimsuits, (for all different bodies and ages), shoes, hats, coverups, sunglasses, mens underwear. Nice to see some Made in Canada brands too.

In the winter maple fest is a fun place for the whole family! You can learn about the maple process or enjoy the numerous activities available. Plus everyone love maple taffy on a stick!! In the summer berry picking was a treat (with new COVID restrictions I’m not sure how this will work). Their selection of jams and jellies on location or at the Peterborough farmers market downtown means there’s something for everyone. They even have AMAZING seedless strawberry jam for those with dietary restrictions!!!

Sometimes known now as "the Big Red Barn", "the Barn", Craftworks at the barn or just simply: Craftworks; we're a locally owned and operated Peterborough and Kawartha's business. It was our hope to start a small business in the community where our roots are. We opened the store with the intent to showcase local talent and provide a unique shopping experience to its visitors. In 2009, Craftworks picked up its giant rocking chair and moved to its new location at the Barn just East of Fowler's Corners. Thanks to the amazing community of Peterborough and the Kawarthas, the business has flourished and expanded both in size and products! Now we not only include handmade Ontario Mennonite furniture and home décor, but a number of crafters and antique vendors also fill the aisles of the store with unique gifts and treats for all. Don't forget to check out our NEW Hardware House. We're open 7 days a week all year long!
This was my wife's and my first visit to this business! We went with our oldest son; daughter-in-law and granddaughter. What a terrific outing and adventure. We were very impressed of the items for sale; on display, quality workmanship of the furniture. We only spent about an hour looking around and purchasing certain items! Many; many hours and visits will be needed to see everything.

Thank you Quarry! Darren & Lisa you did not disappoint. Worked with us thru need to change wedding date ( Covid) &reschedule with no extra costs. We couldn’t book a rehearsal dinner anywhere close by for our group of 24 and you came to the rescue! Caesar salads are amazing (10/10) & overall food/service for rehearsal was 9.5/10. All our guest were pleased, save for a few fumbles of ppl not getting their vegan/special food meals not brought out correctly there first time. Day of wedding you pulled out all the stops & were very accommodating! Despite the fact we needed/wanted to rent tent to have more than 50 guests you were eager & willing to assist. Guys, they even went so far as to make us our very own bonfire pit, close to tent (regulations followed) and allowed us to have s’mores b/c a dance was out of the question due to Covid. Special thanks to Lisa for her generous help and willingness to serve bride and groom In any way! If you are looking for a a wedding venue with. Special magic and great service look no further!
