A 40-acre waterfront area with rides and entertainment for the whole family.
This boardwalk is smaller than most that I've been too but it's the perfect get away to escape the hustle and bustle and keep the kids entertained. A few theme park type rides, train for the smaller ones, plenty of restaurants, small aquarium, and the area is peaceful overall.

Don't waste your time going to the other seafood markets and just go straight to Rose's. They have the best selection of fresh fish, shrimp, oysters, and crawfish, when in season. Their freezer section is great as well for frozen swai, catfish, and lots of different crabs and crab legs. Customer service is fast and friendly. We love this place and we come here often.

This is a popular hangout for a lot of the local residents. It has a full service bar with a multitude of beer taps. The food is good and the brick oven pizzas have always been excellent.

Not-for-profit wildlife refuge and wilderness preserve on the southeast side of Houston.
Great place for hiking and walking enthusiasts. Three trails, each a little over a mile. Real bison on the property. Refurbished 1850 farm, buildings, and wind mill. check out the birthing center. Many beautiful birds, reptiles, animals for the whole family to learn about. Don't go during summer months, too hot for you as well as the inhabitants. Price $4, seniors and children $2

We booked an overnight sail with Captain Jim for our anniversary. We were extremely impressed by Captain Jim. The safety briefing was concise but thorough and we were underway quickly. Captain Jim was happy to let us "question him to death" and learn more about sailing. We got to practice our sailing skills and help with driving as well as raising and trimming the sails - which is what we wanted to do. (You could also opt to sit back and let him do all the sailing as you enjoy your rum punch!) The evening sails was fun and relaxing - we sailed all over the bay and learned about the different landmarks and sights in Galveston Bay. Our overnight anchorage was just offshore near a restaurant called Noah's Ark, which has evening entertainment. We enjoyed their music from the deck of the sailboat - it was like our own private concert. The sailboat is well laid-out so there is lots of room on deck as well as in the salon below deck. There is plenty of shade area on deck if you wish to be out of the sun. The sleeping cabin is very comfortable and the AC works great - which is an important point for me. (I like to be COLD when I sleep!) Coffee was ready when we woke up; a tasty breakfast was served shortly thereafter. Mother nature didn't cooperate with much wind for our morning sail, but we saw lots and lots of dolphins, so we were entertained and enjoyed being on the water anyway. All in all, this was an excellent overnight trip. Highly recommend it for some sailing fun and a great way to spend a special occasion. We plan to return for an afternoon sail with the family.

Occasionally you come across a little gem...this one is an art galley worth a visit.. Valerie Jones is the owner and on my visit here she was excited to explain her renovations and new artist showings she has in the store....and planned for this delightful little space. Gone is the dowdy and tiresome shopfront she explains. It was a struggling, tired, out of the way, cluttered framing gallery but now with it's new face on, Valerie's bold move into shows and exhibitions is giving Seabrook and the Clear Lake Region a quality gallery feel.
The Kelly Halbach feature exhibit has just been hung! Kelly is a renowned, popular local artist with a great range of works and styles. Her up and coming show at the galley shouldn't be missed.
Valerie is looking for quality exhibition art so contact her if you'd like an opportunity to show your work or arrange a chat over coffee.

I found this place driving by in the area. We had a good time. The atmosphere is amazing. Smells like fresh coffee. The decor fits the theme. You have several options. We went to a mystery and dessert. It was delicious. Perfect evening for kids 12 and over because you work in teams. Lots of reading to solve the clues. I recommend for birthday parties, family outings, date night or even for work team building activity.

Expensive for the experience, but an experience you should do atleast once. They let you feed the rays 4 fish, with instructions everywhere. Very frightening at first. but really cool to do. Other exhibits in the area where really bad.

This is a nice park. It is clean and has decent bathrooms. We enjoy going here to walk around and occasionally swing on the swingset. There are good walking paths and a lot of Poke-Stops (if Pokemon Go is your thing). The park has nice playgrounds which are usually filled with kids. There are often people out for a picnic and people fishing on the small pier. I recommend this park!

My wife and I used pinky's to rent some kayaks and paddle down the local river. We were not disappointed.
The staff were kind and caring, giving their customers the extra consideration when the need arose. They where also very informative to the local environment. Informed us on how to handle the alligators if we see any, ( which, unfortunately, we didn't ) and also what paths to take that would best accommodate the high winds on the day we went.
The kayak trip was awesome too. Great nature getaway for a few hours. Nice and quiet, very peaceful. And not crowded either for a holiday like the 4th of July.
Yes we would come again and use pinky's kayaks. Already talking about convincing some family to come along too.
