Players from all over Texas rally up at D14 Airsoft to battle it our on our 37 acre field. From our main city complete with dozens of buildings, through the woods with abandoned cabins, down in the trenches surrounding the prison, or across the west field in the shadows of the Mosque, we have what it takes for an immersive airsoft experience. Whether you are a MILSIM veteran or a weekend warrior, we have it all! Are you ready? RALLY UP!
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. As a previous review mentioned, there is a multitude of various cover options...bushes, barrels, trees, buildings, pallets, vehicles...even an airplane. The port-a-cans are clean and stocked and there wasn't even a line. Domino's pizza delivers and there is a concession stand. They do offer BB's for sale and also have rental equipment. We will be back!

Scenic park great for camping, hiking, swimming and fishing.
Every year we rent a pavilion for our annual Easter picnic. The pavilion has running water and electric it's always clean and ready when we arrive. The pavilion is located close to the lake so the guys can fish and the kids can play. Everyone has a great time.

Courthouse on the Square image by Patricia Tieszen. The Denton County Courthouse-on the Square Museum is a unique repository of exhibits, special collections, and historical documents that provide visitors with an overview of the communities and residents which have contributed to the county's rich heritage. Whether you are an out-of-town visitor or a life-long resident, you will be both educated and entertained as you immerse yourself in Denton County's days gone by.
This Building is really in the centre of Denton, surrounded by shops. Everyone likes to come here, doing something on the yard such as picnic or yoga, or just sitting and watching people. Parking around the square is free after 06.00 pm. We didn't go to see the museum as it was closed by the time we're there. The building self is a beauty.

The town of Krum is located about six miles from the City of Denton to the Northwest. in downtown Krum is a newly established museum know as the KRUM HERITAGE MUSEUM. The day we visited there was no charge. The museum is inside a former bank building which had been vacated. The original bank teller’s cage is till in pale and you can walk in and around that cage. in the back is the original vault and the individual offices of the old bank have been turned into theme areas such as one for education and one for military. A large old bell that was outside is now inside the museum. There is a telephone switch board from one of the former hotels in town. The person that gave us a tour was very knowledgeable about the town and was most congenial. The second floor was still under renovation so we did not tour that section. Plenty of free parking on the street and did i mention no charge to enter.

Ok, I am not a wine expert, I just like going to vineyards and tasting with Patti, plus, if the wine is good, then it's really fun. I really enjoy meeting new wine people too. We moved to Texas from central Washington where there was a lot of good wine so I am always looking for local wine here in North Texas.
We just searched on our phone and found Firelight. The building is purpose-built and very nice inside, and has a great patio area. The owners were there and they're really very friendly. The wine is great too, maybe the best I've had in Texas. We're going back when we can, they're open for tasting Thur/Fri/Sat...luckily, it's close.

Built in 1939, the Little Chapel has been named one of Texas’ 20 most outstanding architectural achievements; it was designed by the late O’Neil Ford. TWU art students designed the stained glass windows which depict the theme "Woman Ministering to Human Needs".
I got married in this chapel in 1993 - and it is one of the most beautiful and quaint chapels around, located on the Texas Women's University campus. Beautiful stained glass windows with details of the Proverbs 31 woman, it's the perfect place for a SMALL wedding. We did just that, and had a big reception nearby at Hubbard Hall.

Whiskey Hollow is a great hidden gem located on the square in Valley View, TX. It's a great stop on the way to or from WinStar Casinos. Whiskey Hollow uses a "double-thumper" process for making their spirits. The bourbon and whiskey is award winning. The rum has a slight smokey flavor to it that makes a fantastic cocktail. Various flavors of moonshine, my personal favorite is the "Apple Pie". It truly tastes like a liquid apple pie! Yum!! Cinnamon Hot Shots Whiskey, mixed with Dr. Pepper is a true taste treat.
The building is worth the visit, as it's located inside the original Valley View National Bank. The vault is a very prominent feature inside the distillery. They offer tastings, as well as cocktails.

Small town gallery representing 15 different Texas Artists working in different mediums. Sculpture Garden and sitting area in the back. Interactive wall where visitors are encouraged to "leave their mark". At any time, different artists can be found working in the back studio or in the garden. Also offers private wine and paint parties with a minimum of 5 people ($15 includes everything- wine, snacks and art supplies) along with Mommy and Me classes.
Having visited Kamme Art Gallery four times I always enjoy seeing the array of artists on display. Focusing on a blend of local and primarily Texas artists the gallery has art work to fit most any budget. I have purchased items for less than $100 and am well aware that many pieces go for much more. I have also commissioned a piece be made and have been working with the owner, Kathleen, looking for pieces she doesn't carry but knows of another location that may. The gallery also hosts wine and paint, girls night outs, mommy and me painting, etc. As a local resident I am glad that we have an art gallery who encourages you to bring in your family, educate them, and look around knowing you may return on day. Not all of the pieces are my taste, but that is the case in any location.
A great mix of modern and transitional art work from a variety of mediums.

This grand old movie house in downtown Denton was renovated in the early 1990’s and is now a 300-seat performing arts theatre with more than 100 musical and theatrical performances each year. It is the showplace for Denton Community Theatre and Music Theatre of Denton, as well as many other community performance groups.
One of my favorite places for a night out in Denton. I love our local theater and have been a season ticket holder for several years. They put on a good variety of productions including dramas and musicals. Denton has some amazing local talent.
