This place was a lot bigger than it looks! Lots of places to look and shop, some strange things, some antiques, lots of fun. Easy to spend hours looking around!

Very well maintained, pretty spot to take a break. Sit in the sun or in the shade and watch the boaters come and go, the ships go by and birds flying over. Play equipment for kids and a water spray, too. The restrooms are better than a typical public park. This is in old town, so be sure to visit the shops and restaurants if you have time.

We recently visited the island again and things have changed, for the better. You can now reserve one of the 50 camping sites online. There is a $30 fee per nite gor a site. This includes free a shuttle boat ride from the St. Helens Marina. Once on the island a quad tractor will transport your gear to the site. Wood is for sale on the island for $5 a bundle. Check in is at 1pm, check out is 11am. There are 3 bathrooms on the island but no running water. Bring your own for drinking washing cooking etc. Very nice experience.
