You can't visit the south of France this year and their beautiful lavender fields? No problem. Maison Lavande will make you feel like you just took a trip to Europe.
They offer free guided tours, musical evenings, massages (advance booking required), lavender products (including lavender ice cream), and longer opening hours for sunset visits at certain times in the summer. You can sit in the middle of the fields under a patio umbrella and relax while you eat and people watch.
This is a great place for taking photos, both in the main field with their giant chairs, which are visible from the entrance, or in the larger field behind the tree line, which is quieter since less people wander past the trees.
This can be a nice outting with friends, a significant other, family, or solo. Children love it here, but be mindful of having them wander too close to the lavender. There are many bees flying around.
The fields will be in full majestic bloom for a short period, maybe a week or two, but you will see purple for well over a month. We like to check Maison Lavande, Instagram to see how the fields look before visiting!

Very very very clean and great ambiance music. Everybody's respects the rules and there's a small step-by-step you could do yourself starting with a shower and then hot water followed by cold to finish up with a nap. At night it glows up. My favorite? When it gets dark and lights open up !

A good place to visit - pick apples - bring children to enjoy all their facilities, and sample some of their products which are quite tasty. However, the restaurant part is not the best... everything comes in paper packaging, even the cups for coffee....and the price is a bit too elevated for what one gets. However, sitting outdoors under a very large old apple tree is fun. On the most popular sunny autumn days the place is a bit too crowded for my taste. The apples are good!

Went here for the first time. 2.5 hour drive from Ottawa, but well worth the drive. Great location with a wonderful lake-side beach. We rented the VIP tent and had a little slice of tranquility in the park and included rental kayaks and paddle boards, a fridge, table and chairs, a couch and nice screened tent shelter). The water rides are great; especially the Tornade and the Tsunami (their new water coaster), but the park has tons of other water rides. a wave pool, lazy river and more! Definitely worth the drive from Ottawa, but we were surprised how quiet the park was. I expected it to be MUCH busier given the proximity to Montreal!

Oh the pastries and treats here are to die for. Reasonably priced and so delicious. The outdoor vendors were scarce because of the season but this places rocks even more in the warmer weather. Parking can be tricky on weekends

Haven't been here for 30 years so I was pleasantly surprised to find a still-vibrant shopping venue offering a good selection of stores. It was bright, clean and seemed to enjoy a good amount of traffic and people seemed to be enjoying themselves.
In this age of declining malls, Fairview seems to be holding its own.

Very pleasant experience with a very informative and animated tour guide. Very generous with the tasting and brought home some very nice wines. Always like to support our local economy as much as I can and this was truly enjoyable.

Near Montmorency Metro in Laval with a lot of parking space ($), it's a great place (more intimate than large places like the Bell Center in Montreal) mainly for standup comics shows, singers, plays and other performing arts. Seats are comfortable and you are never very far from the stage. Good acoustics. Entrance and exits allow for quick egress. Large lobby area with snack and beverage counter. Efficient ticketing desk. Programming always offers a wide variety of entertainement.

This old style flour mill is still churning out flour today and uses the water flowing by to drive the mill. It is located in the "old downtown" of St.Eustache and is surrounded by other important buildings of the times. it is a nice walk in the area and the city gives regular tours of the area during the summer months. Ensure you check the times before arriving.

I came here without knowing that most of it, except for the botique was closed...in preparation for a wedding event. Despite this, I still did a tour around its compound. I think this is a lovely place, especially with the beautiful foliage around it! ...seems like a perfect place for a wedding!
