Bibliophiles take note! If you love to spend an afternoon among the stacks, enjoy stimulating discussion among other book lovers, and the opportunity to obtain collectible and local publications, the Eloquent Page should be on your list. The owner/proprietress is very knowledgeable and will enthusiastically answer questions, make suggestions, and find a copy of whatever item you search. This has become our favorite haunt on a Saturday. The collection is formidable within the modest space, and seating is provided when you just want to read a few paragraphs.

The rail trail is a great place to experience a walk, run or bike ride without having to deal with traffic and noise. Free parking is available at the trail head as well as at spots along the route. The trail is very smooth and easy to traverse. Road crossings are well marked for safety, and there are mileposts along the route so you can tell how far you've gone. Depending on how far you go, you will see nice Vermont farmland as well as beautiful wooded areas and various wildlife along the route. This trail is a real gem, we are so glad that we found it and hope to come back again for a longer walk. If you are in St. Albans you should definitely check out the Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail.

I visited this brewery a few times when I was staying up in St Albans and I have to say I was more than impressed. First of all, the beer was excellent. I'm not sure I tried one that I didn't like. Interesting combinations and great flavors - truly fantastic. The service there was always excellent - the bar tenders extremely friendly and helpful. They have a great set up now with getting food from the restaurant next door and you get the impression this place is always trying things to improve their business. They also have some fun live entertainment outside in their beer garden. I can't recommend this place enough and love that it is a veteran owned business as well. I bought some beer to take back with me when I left VT, which I am looking forward to enjoying.
