We love the Bergen County Zoo. It is a family favorite! We are members and they have many great activities all year long! Wonderful new updates and fantastic programs. My kids go to their zoo camp for a week in the summer as well! Love it!

Took my 6 and 9 year old here. The bike trail is 6 miles long, and is really fun. Lots of interesting bridges to cross and tunnels to bike thru. The scene was beautiful. Lots of tree coverage make the heat very bearable. There's lots of places to stop and rest and playgrounds in case the kids want a change. The trail has lot of variations that make the ride very interesting. We're already looking forward to going back.

If you're close to our location in NJ, we have a gaming lounge where you can play everything from the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 to the N64, Genesis, SNES and NES and everything else in between. We host video game parties in the gaming lounge where you can have one of the best birthday parties ever!
We celebrated my son's bday here. The place has a nice atmosphere to it. If you have more than 10 children you can have the whole stablishment and decorate with balloons if you want. Although th eplace its small kids have a great time and the attendants do help all children with their requests. The value for the money is great!

There was once passenger train service from the 125th street Manhattan ferry terminal in Edgewater, but that was 60 years ago. What is left is the station in Maywood, which was a resort town in the 1800's and now a bedroom community near NYC. Alas, the railroad is now only freight, but a team of railroad enthusiasts took over the station a few years ago and restored it. Inside is a collection of memorabilia from a bygone era, outside a lovingly restored caboose with an n-gauge layout inside, and a diesel engine in the process of being restored. The museum is open only one Sunday afternoon a month, so check before coming.

After not going to a theater for many many years, we went here to see a small independent film. Tickets during the day were just $5 each and that cannot be beat. The theater itself was a bit small, but seats were comfy and floor was clean. Street parking in the area is available, although I am sure it may get tough on the weekends.

Bergen County saw action in every single year of the Revolution, and the Steuben House is said to have seen more of the war than any other house in America. It is very moving to stand on the banks of the Hackensack River and remember how hotly contested this place was for so long.
There are good interpretive signs, special events of interest and a large historical museum focused on Bergen County. Check the website and time your visit to the park to coincide with an event of personal interest. Incidentally, the walking tour app for the park is excellent, and the library, when open, contains a number of excellent books related to Bergen County.
