Wackerbarth Castle (valiant beard) sounds like the name from a fairytale. ???? We decided to go on a quick hike through the wine yards ???? before sampling some wine. It must be even more spectacular covered with snow. ❄️???? A unique ensemble consisting of a castle and the »Belvedere« summer house, Baroque gardens and a modern factory for making wine and sparkling wine in the middle of the lovely landscape of the Saxon Elbe River valley.???? Here, at the foot of the Radebeul vineyards, the Saxon court once celebrated lavish parties. Wackerbarth Castle has since then been a by-word for Saxon joie de vivre, elegant wines and sparkling wines.

Our Karl May Museum was established in Karl May’s former home “Villa Shatterhand” where our visitors can explore his eventful life and literary work, and immerse themselves in the adventurous world of the author from Saxony.
