A beautiful vineyard and winery in the South Downs National Park, West Sussex. We make still white, rosé and sparkling wines. We have special tours of the vineyard and winery given by the winemaker followed by a wine tasting in the winery, a Grade II listed Victorian barn, housing state of the art wine production equipment.
Had a weekend in wonderful West Sussex. Walked from Fittleworth to Stopham Vineyard for a wine tour and tasting. Toured the vineyard with fantastic views across the Downs, and then wandered over to the barns for a great overview of the wine making process, from Simon... and then the tasting! The day was rounded off with a lovely two course meal at The White Hart, overlooking the 13th century bridge. Back at home we are currently drinking a glass of Stopham Pinot - nice. Do this tour - buy the wine - you'll love it.

St Botolph's is a lovely little secret hidden in the South Downs but worth seeking out during the daylight hours. Beware that the door locks automatically around 5pm or at dusk and once you leave it won't open again - don't leave your belongings in the church as you will have to wait until the next day to retrieve them! Photogenic and atmospheric inside the church has information relating to it's history, one or two things for sale such as lovely cards of the church and local area.

Visitors to the Roman villa at Bignor will tour the ancient site (circa AD190) that evolved over several centuries, and which houses some of the best preserved mosaics in England.
this is a wonderful example of a roman villa set in the heart of the wessex countryside, plenty of parking with a sweet little cafe.

Worth going to several times in one year, different species and different weather makes visits varied and interesting. Good for all ages although there is a little bit of walking. Take time to have a trip on the little boat which is included in the price. Take a picnic as the cafe is rather over priced - the only negative point that I can think of.

South Downs Light Railway is a volunteer run railway in the Pulborough Garden Centre, Stopham Road, Pulborough, RH20 1DS. Our trains will take you on an exciting trip through the gardens from Stopham Road Station. Trains run from March to September and are usually hauled by a real coal burning steam engine. It’s great fun for adults and children alike.

Welcome to The Crown Inn Cootham, we are a family run pub located in the Sussex countryside village of Cootham. The 500 year old Crown Inn oozes charm and character. Enjoy a table by our large cosy fireplace, crooked beams, a warm welcome and a fluffy pub dog all await you. We serve freshly prepared home cooked traditional pub food, real cask ales and a selection of larger and cider on draught. We also offer a great spirit selection including the latest trends in flavoured Gin,Rum and Vodka. We pride ourselves on our friendly and attentive service, come see for yourselves.
given the current problems the inn has changed to offering take-away menu. You telephone with your order (see the menu online) and are given a time slot (one every ten minutes to facilitate social distancing). I ordered the Hunter Chicken and my partner the salmon in pink peppercorn sauce. Both have been excellent. They are served in a cardboard box that was sufficient to keep it hot for the drive home. Cannot fault the food or service.

Played this course when other courses were closed due to the wet weather. Not only is this a fantastic golf course, you will also come off the course with clean shoes. Good clubhouse and food with very friendly staff. A must play course.

We are a family-founded vineyard and wine business based near West Chiltington. Our Wine Cellar Door offers premium coffee and food from our restaurant as well as wine by the glass or by the bottle, to drink in or take away. Tours of the vineyard are available for booking and our new events space, coming Spring 2021, will be available for hire for both functions and weddings.
Amazing spot for a coffee or a few bottles of their delicious vino with family and friends. Gorgeous setting, friendly staff, Covid friendly and the cutest vineyard dog! Would definitely recommend.
