Proximity to the stunning Torres del Paine National Park makes Puerto Natales a gateway to adventure. It’s the best place to stock up on supplies and get your gear in order before you hop a two-hour bus ride to the park. This is an area for nature lovers, with plenty of opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, sailing and exploring.

We only experienced the short hike to Serrano glacier and got a taste of the unique virgin forest. We were told there are few trails and the park is largely unexplored and undeveloped. This is a gem in the raw and you can hire a private guide to take you to the least visited areas.

A sail through this beautiful Sound offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, and the setting is particularly gorgeous at sunset.
You get here by boat from Puerto Natales and it is well worth the trip - you can get off and walk to pretty close to the face of the glacier and it is so beautiful - quite stunning - loved it.

Whether hiking to it or simply viewing it from afar, this massive glacier is truly extraordinary.
Viewed Grey Glacier from a distance during a moderate hike within Torres Del Paine National Park. It was simply awesome and to view and hold some of the broken small icebergs of the glacier from up close in the lake was memorable. There are several other options of viewing the grey glacier including boat navigation. Certainly would very highly recommend viewing the Grey Glacier to any tourist.

Nice short hike that goes quite steeply uphill towards a beautiful viewpoint. Probably not recommended in the rain as slopes could be slippery.

Located at a short driving distance from Puerto Natales, it is a natural monument with caves. It is situated along the flanks of Cerro Benitez. It comprises several caves and a rock formation called Silla del Diablo (Devil's Chair). The monument includes a cave which is notable for the discovery in 1895 of skin, bones and other parts of a giant ground sloth called Mylodon darwini, making it extremely unique. It is also part of the End of the World Route, a scenic touristic route. Certainly would very highly recommend visiting Cueva Del Milodon to any tourist in Puerto Natales or Punta Arenas.

Puerto Natales is a small cozy town. This pier walk is a good place you can enjoy the nice view of Patagonia area during your TDP visit. A vibrant state board park and sea birds makes it a good destination.

The trip over water from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales through Patagonian canals and mountains is a trip of a lifetime. While not palatial at all, the people touring are interesting and tolerant and the staff are amazing. Nicholas was excellent in the intro and safety and was very knowledgeable. Cristian was also knowledgeable and brought classical guitar, yoga, Taichi and a passion to the voyage that was a very big bonus. This could and should be a bucket list item. Travel can be in bunks, share rooms or private suites with all meals provided and generous and, best of all, no alcohol on sale. Truly, you don’t need alcohol on this voyage. Bring warm clothes and wet weather protection and beware sunburn. We loved this trip and would do it again if able to. Thanks.

Nice place to stop and take pictures as you walk the PN waterfront. The fingertips provide a good scene/backdrop for photos as does the nearby sign "Puerto Natales" in the center of the traffic circle.
