Shatter Glass Group

Private glass blowing lessons from museum artists in Chicago. Shatter Glass is Chicago's oldest glass blowing studio. It is headed by Lance Friedman whose work is in the permanent collection of the Corning Museum of Glass, Tacoma Museum of Glass and numerous private collections. We have been teaching classes here in Chicago for 30 years.

My son give this experience to my husband for his birthday. It was a scheduled 2 hour appointmnet, one on one, on making his own beer glass. The instructor was very supportive, helpful and the experience was one in a life time.

The Filament Theatre is a jewel in the Six Corners crown (actually a jewel within the whole NW side of the city). They offer immersive, thoughtful, frequently interactive theater for young audiences. They incorporate story telling, music, drama and the imagination of the audience members in their productions. They also offer parent resources, out-reach, education, summer camp and specially modified performances for those with sensory issues. Can't think of a better place to take your family.

My friends and I had a great time with our 1st time throwing axes! We were introduced to the form, given plenty of practice, and had lots of fun competing against each other. It was surprisingly easy to get the hang of! Our coach was La Trell, and I highly recommend you request him. He was great!

I've been going to Wildlight Yoga since the day they opened, and there's no other way to say it: the studio crucially fills a void on the northwest side. Every teacher I've had is knowledgeable, sincere, and kind. The atmosphere is welcoming to all fitness levels, shapes, sizes, ages, all persons period. This is a community-minded space for mental and physical well-being with a spirit of adventure. Prices are reasonable and the schedule fits into anyone's day. I'll go here as long as I live in this city. :)
