We stopped at Lighthouse Beach, hoping to walk along the boardwalk but it was closed. We walked along the very well maintained Formosa Wetlands Walkway to the Alcoa Bird Tower. We saw different species of birds flying through the wetlands and enjoyed the views into the waters. It was a good stop to combine with the Half Moon Lighthouse and an opportunity to stretch our legs.

Great to stop for a few pics and a read of the history markers. Located near the beach and bird viewing area as well as the public swimming pool. Interesting history of the lighthouse too.
