We did the Sunderland Hollow with a group of five, and can't say enough good things about it! Each room had a large number of inter-related puzzles. The attention to detail was amazing, and most puzzles were quite original and fit the theme really well. Unlike some escape rooms I visited in the past Know Escape is not physical at all and does not require exceptional physical shape to do well, which I appreciated very much. Even though the number of puzzles was almost overwhelming at first, we found that they actually made sense together, and were designed in a way that the solution jumped out in an "a-ha" moment through multiple hints scattered throughout. They were not made to frustrate or stump. And when some particular aspect took more than the owner anticipated he was able to jump in and help through a PA system. Again an amazing experience that exceeded our expectations! If you are in the area you should definitely check this out. I would say for age group about 10 years old is a good minimum age, maybe less but not much less.

We were taking a day trip to Port Jefferson from Connecticut (by way of Ferry) and found that Hour Escape was only a few minutes away. We are glad we stopped in. We had a blast. Though it was only 4 of us, we still made it out (with 46 seconds to spare). The game is well put together and planned…the staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and inviting. You’ll be completely engaged! Be ready to think. It was also age appropriate for our 6-year-old who helped with the puzzles. This was our first escape room challenge and we are glad we started here. We’ll definitely come back when they rotate the escape rooms with new topics.

The show was lovely the performers gave their all the theatre is 160yr old venue and has all the charm that implies. It offers lots of possiblities for community involvement. The opportuntities for children are especially exciting.
