Phetchabun is a town (thesaban mueang) in Thailand, capital of Phetchabun Province. It covers the tambon Nai Mueang of the Phetchabun district, along the Pa Sak River. As of 2005, it had a population of 23,823. Phetchabun lies 340 km north of Bangkok.

Was there on 19th June 2020..beautiful approach,lovely weather,clouds touching the hills,wonderful experience..strange to see no foriegners..only locals..beautiful other places also nearby in Khao kho..use of colorful mosaic ,thai traditional colorful bonechina bowls decor on floor n walls is awesome..nice cafes n thai food restaurants also there..must go if u are in Petchabun..:)

This wat is impressive as it is topped by a giant Buddha image. Inside is an informative museum/education center, and out back a beautiful lake with pagoda. The legend behind the Wat is really interesting. The whole thing is worth investing a few hours.
