A beautiful park and gardens. Great for a picnic or a stroll! There is a playground off the side of the park which is fenced in. Bring a picnic, a blanket and a book to spend an afternoon here relaxing!

Enjoy a relaxing paddle upstream to Crystal Palace basin around the fountains and further to the entrance of Stewart Park or portage and tour the upper Tay leading into Perth. A paddle downstream to enjoy the beautiful scenery and lock through Beveridge's Locks to the Rideau River. Both ways, it is largely an undeveloped and natural shoreline gem. Beginners are encouraged and welcome with our easy launch. Try our one of a kind Mini Golf on the bank of the Tay River or play a game of outdoor Ping Pong and make it a day enjoying our picnic area. Backbeat Books and Music is a locally owned store in Perth, Ontario. We specialize in new and used books, vinyl, CDs, turntables and audio gear. We carry new turntables and related accessories from Pro-Ject, Rega and Music Hall. At Backbeat we also have guitar strings from Sfarzo USA, mics and headphones from Shure and, yes, you can buy those little plastic 45rpm adapters at our store too. We are focused on providing a book and record store experience so we do not offer any online shopping. We are a real store where you can browse vintage records, maybe take a listen to one on the turntable, grab a book off the shelf and have a sit on the couch and a bit of a read. We hope that when you are in Perth you stop by and enjoy some time at our store.

We visited and shopped this week in the lovely historical town of Perth. This collection at Riverguild of small momentos, cards, art, locally crafted sheepskin slippers hats, mitts, great selection of jewelry, mugs, and all manner of gift ideas is 99 percent made in Canada and 100 percent well chosen items. We a bought stunning felt handbag and wallet made by the artist "Anais" who happened to be working at the store that day. She was gracious and kind and took some extra time to chat with our 11 yr old about her creations! We also purchased a beautiful medical grade washable Ontario sheepskin for my senior father as nothing is as comforting or healing to rest on. So happy to finally be in a gift shop not drowned in things made in other countries then slapped with a Canada symbol to trap buyers. Please visit this store, support Canadian artists and artisans, you will love your purchases. Lovely store.

A must visit! As a cheese lover, I had to visit. I was certainly impressed!! They were kind enough to let me try a few incredible cheeses before buying. I was pleasantly surprised to see some olive oils and balsamic vinegars too. I bought my awesome charcuterie board and meats while I was there and decided who needs dinner? Enjoyed with my favourite wine! I will definitely go back.

My girlfriend Sherrie and I toured the mica mine and were impressed by the tour guides information and presentation . It was a gorgeous early August day, later we went swimming on a small beach in the park. I highly recommend visiting this park, which is an easy drive from both Kingston and Ottawa .

on our way to Ottawa to play the marshes and just happened to look for a course in Perth. this place is a gem of a course. tons of charactor, lots of water, rocks, mature trees. Great layout, and very well cared for course. long holes, short holes. not cheap, but I think worth the money. it was rainy so we didn't have to fight the crowds either. will be going back yearly to play here, just because we are far away, but loved it. thanks
