The Tasmanian Honey Company began in 1978 as the concept of Julian Wolfhagen, a beekeeper with a profound passion for Tasmania, its wild forests and the honey that they produce. Our success has largely been built on our passion for, and our commitment to the production of wild and uncompromised leatherwood honey, which we like to think of as the distillate of the wilderness.

The Gins and Whiskies these guys are distilling are really quite wonderful. A well thought out tasting room, would highly recommend. We were a little too early for the bottling of the Whisky - the slightly peated Sherry cask dram I tasted stands up to some of the better Scotches I have had, however we took a great bottle of Gin home with us instead. Not sure where the mysogynistic allegations come from, Adam was a really nice guy!
A traditional Cooperage manufacturing oak barrels and vats.
