I have taken several classes at 577. Jewelry making was my favorite I went into the "classroom" and found several different stones and beads. I made three pair of earrings and a necklace. The lady who was teaching the class had several helpful hints to make things go smoothly she was very helpful. My husband also singled me up to a a basket weaving class of all things not at all my favorite but the other people in the class and the persons teaching the class made it more fun than it would have been otherwise.

Fort Meigs Ohio's War of 1812 Battlefield

Built during the War of 1812 by William Henry Harrison, Fort Meigs successfully defended Ohio from a combined force of British and Native Americans during the spring and summer of 1813. It also served as the step-off point for General Harrison's invasion of Canada in the fall of that year. Reconstructed in the 1970s and again in 2000 on its original location, Fort Meigs stands today to tell the story of the thousands of soldiers who lived, fought, and died there over 200 years ago. In addition to the reconstructed fort, a visitor center and museum are also located on the site, housing hundreds of artifacts discovered during archaeological digs of the battlefield.

Not up to the par of National forts. You can not use your senior National parks pass. An earthen fort. It's being restored. The attached museum is good, nice displays and very good historical information. Open Wednesday to Saturday 9:30- 5:00 and Sunday 12 - 5:00. The musket firing was good and the "soldier" very informative. The exhibits inside the fort are okay. Hopefully they will continue to upgrade the interior of the fort. The workers were great and friendly. We were still glad we made the trip and if you enjoy the history you will too.

This Antique Mall has a wide variety of merchandise. Each vendor's spot seems to be easily accessible. The place is HUGE! We spent at least 2 hours there and only saw about half. The staff was helpful and professional. If you like antiques, you will enjoy this place!

The Shops at Fallen Timbers

Visited this outdoor mall when we visit Maumee a couple of weekends ago. Very nice shops with plenty of parking. There are a few restuarants, cinema, JCP anchor where we found a nice MK purse on sale as well as a blender. The exact same purse was selling at SAMs Club for $40 more. There was a Dillard's but no real sales. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere and no grocery store. Other than that, nice place to spend an afternoon window shopping. Would recommend to all if in the area.

Memorial marks the site of a 1794 battle, which is considered to have been the last battle of the American Revolution.

Really, there are only two reasons to visit this site. First, if you love history as much as I do, you will enjoy it despite the appalling lack of anything but a parking lot, a walking loop, restrooms, and some interpretive signs (if the nearby building has interpretive displays, we could not tell since it was closed for a private party). Second, if you enjoy outdoor walks on a 1.5 mile flat path half-wooded and half in direct sunlight, then you will certainly appreciate this facility. Otherwise, don't bother

Yes great view from the top. The cannons are not original but may have been from a refitted ship from the 100th anniversary refitting. But you want to go behind Perry's monument and take the partially hidden road which takes you below the park, for a very interesting view of the rear of a number of houses along front street

The Toledo Zoo is great...........Always something for everyone. Christmas season has the "Lights before Christmas", with a winter ice slide, and bumper cars on ice. Need to take a try to really understand. They have dancing lights in the trees. It's magical like Disney Land.
