This winding road has many beautiful turnouts and vistas that gives you a feeling of what the pioneers must have encountered during their travels. Was hard on the brakes though.

During the open house, before this Temple was dedicated for service, it was fascinating to see all the different cultural influences on the architectural design. How they were able to blend them into working piece of art is amazing. Here are the separate cultures represented either in direct usage or influence: 1. The foundation is in a + which is very Russian Orthodox as opposed to cathedrals that have the + with a tail for a full cross. 2. The overall exterior is a gentle style with suggestions of the Nauvoo Temple, bringing in early American designs. 3. The stained glass has strong influence from Chinese color patterns. 4. The stair cases are very sweeping French renaissance styles. 5. The Hebrew culture is everywhere but mostly in the ceiling designs and Old Testament font on the cattle. 6. In the Celestial Room many styles come together. The Egyptian frond columns, the Corinthian columns, the out-corners with the Roman bundled birch limps held together with a leather strap (in plaster) that was symbolic of the Roman believe of the community must come together as one -- only the ax head is removed. 7. Utah pioneer-style murals in the baptistery. Again, they all come together an work to inspire. Kind of like how things ought to be on this earth. Enjoy the difference and let us worship together.

Right now us a great time to see the water fall if you want to see it flowing big. The creek was flowing so high I carried the young children across in some parts.
