Went with some friends. We had a great time. The tasting was wonderful and very informative. They offer unique wines from all over. We all bought a bottle and have enjoyed them all. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

The trails are the best hiking trails in the Kansas City area. Trails are rated easy to moderate with some good hills. The trails are very scenic with sites along trails including streams with waterfalls in a very wooded area. Wildlife includes; numerouse species of birds, white tail deer, turkeys, ground hogs/wood chucks, squirrels, turtles, numerous species of butterflies. The trails are not crowded at all, might be about 10 people on the 3.5 miles of trails at any given time.
Parkville Nature Sanctuary is an amazing for place hiking in the woods. It is located downstream of the Riss Lake dam, and the Alloe Creek runs through the Sanctuary. There are several loop trails totaling approximately 3.5 miles. The Old Kate trail is the most popular one since it goes by the beautiful waterfalls. The White Tail trail is about 1.5miles long and goes up and down hills, but was less crowded. Numerous bird songs could be heard throughout the park. The trail head is beautiful and has picnic tables, playground, ample parking and the old Parkville jail!

English Landing Park in Parkville is a community park that provides a wonderful variety of sports and activity options in the beautiful outdoors on the western bank of the great Missouri River. The about 2-mile long trail along the river bank is hard packed fine gravel and is very popularly used for walking, running and cycling. The trail provides great views of the river and the limestone hill of Parkville. The park has a stage where open air concerts are presented during eth summer. The historical bridge across Rush Creek is a lovely bridge. Adjacent to the park is the small Sullivan Sanctuary which is good for birdwatching also. The still-developing Platte Landing Park is an extension of English Landing Park. The new park has a large Dog Park in addition to approximately 4-K loop trail. English Landing Park is a park no family will be disappointed spending a few hours. One can surely find something joyful to do here.

Heartland Center offers a wide variety of activities including a high ropes challenge course, team building activities, horse rides, archery, and swimming. (Other free activities are included.) The site boasts 320 acres and is made up of meadows and hiking trails for a chance to get away.
