We've heard Toronto described as "New York City run by the Swiss," and it's true—you can find world-class theater, shopping and restaurants here, but the sidewalks are clean and the people are friendly. The best place to start is literally at the top—the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere.

I'm not even a Harry Potter fan, nor have I watched the movies. But this store is like a showroom! It felt like I was in a museum. There is someone in my life who is a big Harry Potter fan, so I was able to get some birthday and Christmas shopping done here. But I found myself buying non-Harry Potter items for myself. I loved the duck-footed picture frames! I also really liked the novelty dish towels. My advice is to peruse their online shop first before you go there in person. Otherwise you get 'lost' looking at all the fascinating items.

Beyond Mental Borders are the highly praised Toronto-based mentalism team taking the city by storm. Stepping away from the traditional road of magic, the duo creates a world where "sleight of mind" dominates, while surprise and awe are the norm. They avoid flashy illusions and use no stage gimmicks. Instead, Beyond Mental Borders focuses on their true skillset: connecting your mind to theirs.

These lakefront grounds host more than 100 different fairs and events each year.
What an experience! Our trip included the RCMP Musical Ride which was excellent. Beautiful well trained horses moving in unison and other intricate manoeuvres. It was of course very busy at the fair and there is just so much to see. Well groomed animals of all kinds. We couldn’t take it all in. Next year we will plan to spend a bit more time. Taking the GO to Exhibition place made the trip quite easy. Looking forward to next year!
