We enjoyed both tours we completed at Claiborne Farms. We did the walking tour that included seeing the breeding program facilities and seeing several stallions. Our guide shared lots of information about the stallion business as well as about individual stallions. We loved being able to see them up close when he brought Kentucky Derby winner Orb out of his stall and War Front for us to have pictures taken with them or feed them a peppermint. Well worth our time and money! In the afternoon we did the Farm shuttle tour of the back part of the farm. We got to see daily operations and the beautiful grounds as well as mares, weaklings, and the “grandmas” who live their life out on this beautiful farm. Our guide was knowledgeable and answered any and all questions. Great Day!

This place knows how to do agritourism! Worth a visit in the fall even if you don't like apples. Check out their on line calendar as they have live music, a nature trail, pancakes, fresh fried pies, cold cider, cider slushies. Great trip for families with kids. Owners and staff are great!

Wind through Paris and Bourbon County to historic Runnymede Farm, home of the Clay family and recognized as the oldest continuously owned Thoroughbred farm in Kentucky. Home of SACRE COEUR, mother of LADY ELI, Grade I winner of the 2014 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. Since 2007, Runnymede has also bred and raised four other horses that have hit the board in Breeders’ Cup races.
Sara is very knowledgeable of the industry and can answer any questions. I loved seeing the foals playing and feeding peppermints to their Moms! I would highly recommend visiting Runnymede

This historic building was built in 1791 as a Presbyterian Church.
My ancestor was at the Great Revival here in 1801. I've wanted to see this two story log church - was not disappointed. We visited on April 8, 2021 - the first week they had opened for the season. We were the only ones here - the curator came to turn on the lights and share a short history. Very impressive to see for ourselves - amazing early American frontier history. No cost to enter - donations are appreciated. Museum is next door with excellent time line and samples of early American life. Worth the trip.
