Bear Dance Golf Club is the home to the Colorado P{GA and they couldn't have picked a better place for their HQ. Located just S. of Castle Rock, it features great course design, great conditions, and spectacular views and is a joy to play. They do have some limited members, but for the most part it is open to the public and anyone who goes there is in for a treat. It is the BEST Golf course in Colorado that the public can play and has been voted that distinction many times. And as an added bonus, it has a great staff, a fabulous practice facility, and the restaurant serves tasty food.
What's there not to like?

Travel back in time -- The Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center is a new 20,000 square foot museum located in Woodland Park, Colorado (only 30 min. from Colorado Springs). We feature fossils from North America's Cretaceous Period including marine reptiles, pterosaurs, dinosaurs, a working fossil lab viewable by visitors, children's play area and hands-on educational activities. Open all year.
I am a dinosaur fanatic and I absolutely loved this place. We were fortunate enough to be the only people on the early morning tour and got in-depth information on all of the exhibits. I absolutely loved it. Greg, Lindy and Crystal were wonderful guides and answered all of my questions about all aspects of dinosaurs. We even got to see where the fossils and casts are prepared, which I thought was a fantastic addition to what was already a really fun tour. I've never seen so many dinosaurs in one place, and was just blown away by the quality of the displays. I hope I get to come back some day!

This cute smallish distillery is a great addition to the Monument area, and a terrific place to stop for anyone driving the I-25 corridor between Cheyenne, WY and Santa Fe, NM.
The distiller is an Army vet and he makes batches of easy drinking flavorful moonshine. Taste it in their cute tasting room, take a tour, and buy some to take home! I especially liked the margarita shine, and the sweet ice tea shine.

We visited here today to do some shopping. Very quaint and super friendly. They have a variety of unique gifts that are made here and also in the USA. They are willing to hold classes and will provide snacks. Beautiful boxer greets you while you are there

Monument Ice Rinks- your community twin rinks center for hockey, figure skating, and birthday parties. Providing programs for ages 3 to adult. Serving the El Paso and Douglas Counties regions, including Colorado Springs, Monument, Castle Rock, Parker and South Denver.
This is a great place for practicing hockey, playing in leagues, or just ice skating. Many Saturdays, my son and his friends pick up their gear and head over for "Sticks and Pucks" where they can just hit the puck around, no pressure. My husband has played in several leagues, and when he feels like it, heads over to pick up a game. Good fun in Monument!

Visitors can tour this modern sprawling campus that includes the Academy, Falcon Stadium, a chapel and Arnold Hall, a museum honoring Air Force personnel.
Amazing that this is a school. Seeing the chapel took our breath away even from the observation points before arriving at the main campus. Yes we had to show our driver's license but this is clearly a military facility and it did not bother me. The young man was very respectful. After visiting the chapel and all of the different worship venues we were delighted to observe a sample of military training as a group of paratroopers exited a plane overhead and landed on a designated spot in the field between the body of gathered cadets in attendance in formation. Filled us with pride in our nation and the young people who are being trained to serve.

This 18-hole championship golf course plays through gently rolling meadows, ranging from 5,100 to 6,900 yards ensuring a challenging round for beginner and pro golfers alike.
Fun and challenging course in good shape for a good price. BUT...it will take you 6 hours to complete. Absolutely no marshals and people could care less about pace of play. Course booked a junior golf tourney over existing tee times and still couldn't finish in time for later tee times. We didn't tee off until 30 min late. Wouldn't play here again unless I wanted to blow my entire day.

We listened to Whit's End everytime we traveled in the car. We have always believed in and respected Focus on the Family. The Welcome Center was a fun stop during our vacation. The Whit's End exhibit was fun for even my adult children. The Welcome Center and Bookstore were clean and inviting. If visiting and have children make sure they pick up a scavenger hunt paper and try and find all of the creative hints. You can even get some ice cream at the Whit's End Soda Shop.

A small local type park. It was clean, and street parking around it. No benches or playground, but just a green space. And a pokemon tower!
