Paignton (/ˈpeɪntən/ PAYN-tən) is a seaside town on the coast of Tor Bay in Devon, England. Together with Torquay and Brixham it forms the borough of Torbay which was created in 1998. The Torbay area is a holiday destination known as the English Riviera. Paignton's population in the United Kingdom Census of 2011 was 49,021. It has origins as a Celtic settlement and was first mentioned in 1086. It grew as a small fishing village and a new harbour was built in 1847. All classes are now live-streamed online! Kundalini Yoga and Mindfulness are no less than miraculous practices that continue to expand my life in ways I never thought possible. Whilst strengthening and toning your body, you are taken on an inner journey of discovery and growth, which helps you to reconnect with yourself and create a life that is aligned with what makes you truly happy. The exercises, which are fun and dynamic, are suitable for everybody, regardless of their sex, age or level of fitness.
I have been attending Julia's classes for a few years now and was a little unsure how the online classes would compare. However, once I got my sound sorted out, I found that the Zoom classes are just as enjoyable and rewarding! I would even like to continue a weekly Zoom class after lock-down is lifted as it is so convenient. I thoroughly recommend Julia as a Yoga teacher. She is always warm and welcoming and very professional. I really value the information she gives as to the purpose of each exercise, which gives real meaning to our efforts. Thank you Julia and Ruby for keeping us sane in these difficult times! :)

A pretty little shop opposite Paignton Pier, selling hand-made gifts, Pebble Pictures, personalised presents, and unique up-cycled items. Also, Vintage cake stands, Teapot bird feeders, and tea-cup scented candles.
Another great purchase from Lollipops and Roses ???? ????. Cannot wait for the shop to be open again so I can come and browse through all the lovely goodies there.

The Palace Theatre is a true community theatre for the English Riviera, set in the heart of Paignton , and is the oldest working theatre in Torbay, constructed back in 1890. It is owned and run by Torbay Council. The theatre has a seating capacity of 380. It has undergone a major refurbishment and it looks fantastic. Tickets for the Palace Theatre can be purchased in person from the Palace Theatre, or by phoning the Box office on: 01803 665800, or tickets can be purchased by going to any local Tourist Information Centre.
this is my favourite theatre. the shows are great and there is a varied selection. The staff are really friendly and the new owners have worked really hard to make the venue fit for anything. Do visit as soon as you can

Avast, Me Hearties!! There be a place on the coast, one of skullduggery and wretched piracy. It be called Pirates Bay! Experience the adventure of Pirates Bay - A landscaped 18 hole course situated on Paignton Seafront. It's great fun for all the family. Dodge cannonballs and evade the thieving pirates as you navigate the lush carpeted greens, sink your ball but don't sink your ship!
Played crazy golf here twice in three days last week with my wife and mother in law. Very well presented and maintained site right on the sea front. Full 18 "holes" so good value and great fun. Will definitely visit again the next time we are in the Torbay area. Many thanks to the owners/operators of the venue.

We regularly visit the Geopark when we are in Paignton. It's just off the beach and there's activities for all ages. In the summer the water and sand pit are great fun - make sure you bring a change of clothes or something you don't mind the kids getting wet. There's swings, a mini trampoline and small climbing frame for little kids, and for older kids there are some huge structures for them to climb over.
