Since its development in 1970, this island has become a man-made paradise and wildlife reserve.
We booked this thru Sunwing Vacations on our first all inclusive vacation in Mexico. We had s great day we were picked up by our tour guide at our hotel Holiday Inn Resort. It was approximately 15 minute drive to where we were dropped off with our tour guide to the water taxi to Ixtapa Island. It was a 5 minute walk to the area for snorkeling. Our package included transportation from and to our Resort water Taxi to and from Ixtapa island our snorkeling gear 1hr guided tour around the reef. We were able to snorkel on our own as well. It was moderate activity. Lunch and a beverage water beer or soda was included in our package price. It was a great day friendly tour guide snd snorkel guide. The food at Lili's restaurant was amazing. We were sble to see so many types of fish feeding on the coral reef. The tour was 5hrs in total. Picked up at 9:30am and dropped off by 4pm. We were on Ixtapa island fm 10am-3pm. It was good value.

Central plaza named for Juan Nepomuceno Machado who donated the land.
Wonderful downtown square anchored at one end by the Angela Peralta Theater and surrounded by restaurants of all kinds. On weekends, there is music and vendor booths. Great fun!

A peaceful, popular beach.
Barra Vieja beach is south of the airport. About 40 min. from the main avenue in Acapulco along the beach (Costera). Warm water. Nice sand. Worth a visit.

These cliffs are home to the daredevil cliff divers.
The name means "the broken" since the cliffs were dynamited to quarry rock for a hotel (according to a sign at the scene). The cliff views are amazing and the cliff divers death defying. There was a carnival atmosphere each night as the locals congregated to view the divers. Every visitor to Acapulco should include this site at night.

Stretching from the original Mazatlan past the Golden Zone to the end of Cerritos Beach, Mazatlan's waterfront street is the backbone of the city.
Awesome to have such a long boardwalk. We had a great day seeing the sculptures, the craft stands, the people fishing, and the open water ocean pool. Bring water and a big bag to carry everything.

We love the Nuevo Vallarta area principally for the beaches. You can walk for hours enjoying the peaceful atmosphere watching the sea birds catching fish and if you’re fortunate you can see momma sea turtles coming in to lay their eggs along with baby turtles hatching and making their way to the sea.

We came here every morning with our 7 year old to check out tide pools, throw the football, and build sand castles. It was a great quiet beach with beautiful views. I’d highly recommend getting off the beaten path if you’re in sayulita.

Awesome view and steep. I tried twice from the south and once from south. Take a cab to the south which cost 250 pesos but I think I was over charged. Follow the dirt road and on your right is walk through fence and double track, which becomes single track and boulders for the top 10 meters. Beautiful. To run back to Punta Sayulita take a creek down which ends up at a plantation with brick diversion and black 2 inch rubber tubing. You take the road back and you are on the north side.
