Simple but self explanatory, car looks in better condition than when it was built?. Seriously though, it is an excellent monument to represent a single action amongst many of the brave people who were resisting another attempt to suppress their freedom

Portanova is Osijek's newest and most exciting shopping destination. There are two floors of shopping units which include more than 100 brand names, a hypermarket, entertainment venues such as multiplex cinema and bowling plus numerous restaurants and cafes and plenty of car parking spaces. Portanova or “new door” is an entirely new entrance to the city, but also the entrance to a new world of friendship, fun and enjoyable atmosphere..
Many different types of shops and free parking. Includes many international brands such as Zara and H & M.Dear Miasim, thank you for your observation. Please visit us again if you find yourself in this area. We value your opinion and we’ll do our best to upgrade in every way possible. Kind regards, Maja Maljur Papić

This church has just been renovated, they are still finishing the courtyard. Surrounded by the library, seminary, statues, etc, this is a beautiful church. We heard a brief student performance in the acoustically able sanctuary. Very nice.
Bring binoculars to appreciate all of the details of the altar.

The archaeological museum is a part of the Slavonian museum (Muzej Slavonije). It's very interesting to watch at all the exposed materials from times before Christ to nowadays.
This is the cheapest museum in which I ever was at. The standard entrance fee is 10 kunas (about 1.5 €), but for students it's only 5 kunas (about 0,7 €). It's located in the old part of Osijek, known as 'Tvrđa', on the main square, and across it is the other museum, the Slavonian museum.
I suggest you to visit both museums, it's worth the experience.

In our travels in Europe, there are pillars dedicated to plagues. They are often dedicated to the Virgin Mary and decorated with saints. The three-sided pillars represent the Holy Trinity. In Tvrđa a Baroque center in Osijak, the square is dominated by the Holy Trinity Monument, erected in 1729. It memorializes the victims of the 18th century plague that swept the city. This pillar has the patron saints of plague: Saint Sebastian, Saint Roch, Saint Charles Borromeo, St Francis Xavier and Saint Rosalia. Baroness Doroteja Petraš, husband of Hussar general who died of the plague, funded the building of this pillar. This pillar reminded me of the plague in Kutna Hora in the Czech Republic.
