This is a wonderful Bush to walk through. It is good for fit and unfit people as there is a flat track or you can go up the hill as well. Unfortunately it is closed at the moment for maintenance.

Great safe beach. Peaceful beach one side lots of restaurants and shops on the other. Kayaking. swimming, paddle boarding, and Jetskies. Long tide in and out and only waist height water for 20 to 30 meters so very safe for kids.

So many things to do. There is a great walk/cycle track around the estuary. There is a wharf to jump off when the tide is in. Very safe place to use a paddle board or kayak.

It is well worth travel north up the hill to get a view along the 3km of Orewa beach. The expansive view out towards the Whangaparaoa peninsular is wonderful and worth a stop.

We now live within walking distance and go there often. What a colourful setting and so easy to walk or amble around, with various entrances and exits to choose from ! Plus there is no entrance fee to pay ! The ducks and fish and eels all live with the colourful lilies growing peacefully on the surface of the ponds. The peace and calm from just being in the area is quite amazing. We take our visitors there and they are all charmed at the setting and how close they are to our home,
