Wonderful history not being a gun fan or killing animals for sport but the museum takes you back to the time when that may have been necessary but not sure just think a lot of people came because Europe had over gamed, but interesting history and the docent was great

This was my first stop at Smalls Falls. It was fairly quiet the day I went. Weekends I bet it's crowded. The Falls have several levels. Climbing to the top is fairly easy but there are many tree roots, rocks and some muddy spots. You can walk along the chain link fence on the way back down so you have a hand hold. I didn't swim but there are great places to. Typical park bathrooms. Non-flush, fancy outhouse. Parking is good. I think I saw a small playground. Well worth a visit. Very pretty.

You are walking mostly on a snowmobile trail. There is a beat up wooden bridge over the river. You can walk on some small trails along the river starting from the bridge. Quiet. Not heavily used.

I've been stopping here for over 30 years and I never get tired of the location. The outhouse has improved; it's always clean and it is kept stocked every time we come by which is a bonus after being on the road for hours. The store is cute and we always stop in. The canyon, although not huge, is VERY picturesque and perfect to dip your feet (or body) in. I've taken many great pictures here over the years! It's great for a quick picnic too. We've see a lot of moose continuing on Rt. 17 from here to Rangeley!

We camped here for a long weekend and loved the location. The sites (ours was for a tent) were large and left plenty of room to park our truck and trailer. Great base camp for an adventurous weekend. The showers were the BEST state-park showers we've had - water temp and pressure were amazing! Lots of trails for hiking, easy boat/beach access and good sense of privacy.

The Forest Legacy Trail is located on a 1200 acre parcel that lies on the western shores of Mooselookmeguntic and Cupsuptic Lakes. Accessed easily by car or boat, it offers 6+ miles of interconnecting trails that range from moderate to difficult. It also offers four lakefront campsites. RLHT aquired the property from a large timber company in 1994 utilizing federal conservation funds from the Forest Legacy Program. RLHT is proud to provide local timber and forest product jobs that arise from the sustainable management of this working forest.
I am sure the network of trails must hold some hold some spots of beauty, but the trailhead we began on was a long access road with overgrown grasses that did not seem particularly beautiful. We turned around to head back to the car after walking more than 20 minutes on the path. With more time, I am sure its charms would be revealed! (We probably should have taken the path close to the parking lot that led directly into the woods.)

Took a wonderful cruise on Monday aboard a former mail boat from NH, the Oquossoc Lady. She is truly a beautiful boat and well kept. Our Captain Kevin was sincere, polite and very accommodating. Kevin made sure on the cruise we were comfortable and warm. It was a cloudy day in the low 50's. But Kevin's knowledge and stories kept us warm at heart. No eagles or moose about, but scenery on the water we would have not been able to catch while visiting the area. The price is very reasonable We learned allot about the Rangeley area and thank Kevin and his wife! Even my 15yr old son can't wait to return and try another cruise. A hidden secret in Rangeley for sure! Don't miss your chance. Plenty of parking and a Porto potty if you need one.

Quill Hill is located off Oddy’s Road on Route 16 in Dallas Plantation between Rangeley and Stratton, Maine and is known for its scenic views. Once you turn on to Oddy’s Road, you will follow a very well maintained dirt road for approximately 12 minutes, or four miles, to the top. At an elevation of 2,848 ft., visitors are rewarded with a breathtaking 360º view of Tim Pond, Rangeley Lakes, Saddleback, Saddleback Lake, Kennebago, Flagstaff and the Kibby Wind Power project. It is the only mountain in Maine with a 360º view accessible by automobile, bike, ATV, and motorcycle, and it includes a 4,000 ft. wheelchair path between the two scenic views. No matter what type of transportation you use, please be respectful of the land so that it doesn’t get closed to the public.
Don't be cheap, pay the money and come up and visit the beautiful 360 degree panoramic view. You won't be disappointed. If you have the opportunity, be sure to stop by and grab some lunch and bring it up with you. During the summer time there's wild raspberries and blueberries on top of the mountain.
